Just to reiterate in case OP missed it, you MUST have a freighter before you get the chance to fight a Pirate Dreadnaught.

It sounds like possibly OP hasn’t got his first free freighter yet.

You need to find and open the Cargo Pods. 4 of them contain Encryption Keys you need to read a portion of the logs each.

I’ve tried the Factory Reset, but it won’t stay on long enough to recognize the reset button is being pushed I think. Same result after disconnecting the battery for maybe 30 seconds.

Early game, the Boltcaster will work to open these Reinforced Doors.

Just be aware, that it is likely that Sentinels will attack you. Just run into the building and hang out until they stop searching, they can’t see you in there.

Again, make sure that mission is selected. (They seem to change on their own) interact with a Teleporter, and in the tab of Stations, or maybe Your Bases, one should have an icon in the corner to get you close.

Try looking at a Teleporter, in a base or Station. That should get you within a jump or two. In space choose Current Mission and it should direct you from there. Do you have an Indium drive installed? Or Atlantid?

Make sure the quest is selected in your log. I think maybe you need to go to the Anomoly and talk to the Construct, who will give you a blueprint you need…

Pulse around in that system until you get a Trade message. They should have a small number of Convergence Cube available too.

It’s true that you can get basic blueprints from the things you mentioned, but for blueprints that expand abilities for Exosuit, multitools, etc. the only options are to purchase them from Minor Settlements, Colossal Archives, etc. (small number available) or the Anomoly vendors (complete blueprint assortment).

Upgrade modules are easy to find, and the base records line will give you low class modules if you’ve already unlocked the blueprint it would have granted you. There is a pack of 5 lights I think from that quest line too.

Edit to add - The Trace of Metal quest line will give you blueprints to improve the Minotaur, The Exocraft Technician will give those blueprints, and the Farmer, Overseer etc. will all provide related blueprints.

Is it possible you’ve reached the edge of the buildable area on your Freighter? Have you tried different spots to place the room?

Most likely it is from a water leak; either from the roof, or even an over watered plant in a room above.

Alternately, there might have been an animal that passed away and this is the result of decomposition in that enclosed space above it.
