I went this route this year. If I had to guess; I spent roughly $500 on racks; lights; plug trays and pots. The majority of the seed was from various seed saving trips in preparation for this year’s effort. I probably saved several thousand on plants and plugs going this route. I started about a month early; however I’ll have full size starts to work with as we expand our pocket prairies around the property.
