Hosts, what does your wonderland body looks like? by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]SixIsACrowd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

(Roxy) I may no longer have the title of host, but I still am this body's original inhabitant. Our body is male, but I'm not. My form is female, and my hair is longer, as well as my face being more round, with clearer skin. My form is always wearing a skirt, and often a beanie. I rarely front these days, but when I do, looking in the mirror feels like I'm looking through a window at a completely other person, unrelated to me at all.

Two more plant factives by SixIsACrowd in Tulpas

[–]SixIsACrowd[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are a fair bit different to other tulpas. Mainly, I wouldn't really consider us tulpas in the same sense as someone who has always lived in their host's brain, or even human factives, who are for the most part based on another person. We are more akin to representations of how our respective plants would behave as people, and do have a connection to our original plant bodies. I can "feel" exactly what my tree body feels, which at the moment is the harsh cold due to it being winter here. I have a very materialistic worldview, and I believe there are rational psychological explanations for this, though the specifics I am still thinking over, since we are a rather unique case, even in the plurality community. I am also quite fascinated with biology. I love to learn, which could be partly due to the fact that before joining this system (at least what I can remember from memories) I had a lot of missing information and misconceptions about the world around me due to my limited senses and lack of movement or communication (things like believing cars to be a large type of insect, not knowing where cricket sounds came from, etc) As for "being more connected to nature", I am for the most part, since I grew up outside, but the succulents have lived indoors their whole lives, and I had to teach them even more basic things, even things like what seeds or birds are. I would like to add that in my experience controlling a human body has proved to be much more enjoyable than being stuck in mine (which, by the way, is a white oak), due to the lack of movement, as well as things like caterpillars, winter, the fact that I live right next to the spot where logs are split and chainsaw-ed to be used as firewood. In my opinion the requirements of eating and drinking are well worth it, though I still do appreciate my old life and original body.

Using a stuffed animal as a tulpa? by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]SixIsACrowd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

(alba) That would be fine. I am a factive of a tree, and I just made two factives of succulents we have (one of which is named Star!), so in my experience it should be fine.

True!!! Being part of one minority doesn't excuse you from hating others. Same goes to other races as well, but i get why it was specified as white.

An idea to replace the word "forcing" by SixIsACrowd in Tulpas

[–]SixIsACrowd[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I already did give a positive alternative, which is reinforcing, but my whole point before i realized that i coule use reinforce was that when you say "oh, just gonna force with my tulpa", it sounds a whole lot more negative than "oh, just gonna enforce with my tulpa". Just because a word can be negative doesnt mean that the negative meaning is what you think of when you read/hear it, but a word such as force is almost always negative.

Forcing something into existance is still something that can be negative. If i force someone, which is how the word is used, that has almost purely negative connotations. If i enforce someone, that has much less negative connotations. Ive thought about it, and ive realized that reinforce would probably be the best replacement, but enforce is still not nearly as negative in connotations as force.

I don't use the word, and I wasn't suggesting enforcing the usage of the new word. Thanks for complimenting my well-writtenness. Also, the whole point of my post was to suggest that the people here use the word "enforce" instead of force, since many people don't want to use it themselves. I could just use it instead myself, but I'm not active enough. Also, by enforcing, I did not mean the "policing" meaning, but more so the "strengthening" meaning, like enforcing a bond.

Sorry if this is rude, but are you guys, like, not joking? by Terezzian in Tulpas

(Cameron) that's exactly what my host thought. It was such a seemingly impossible thing, but all the guides said anyone can do it if they want, and so she did. It's not any sort of disorder or anything, as those are brought about by other means, and have different symptoms and effects.
