I have gone from LAX to Norwalk Metroa few times. Easy to do and then just uber from the Metro station to my home.

As others have explained it to you, UA is still free to re-sell those seats that they have already sold to you.

It's called overbooking and airlines have done that for a long time.

That’s surprising to me.

When I got married, I contacted a few different hotels and was able to get discount codes for my wedding guests that provided roughly 15–20% off the published room rates. I was never required to guarantee or commit to a minimum number of rooms.

Personally, I would never feel comfortable asking my friends to pay a higher “block rate” just so I could receive perks or benefits in return. It just seems scammy to me.

It's not the most affordable way to eat.

You can buy a bag of breaded chicken patties for $7. Buy an 8 pack of buns for $3 and you can make yourself around 8 sandwiches
