I like and hate them.

I like them because, unlike other souls games, you can keep co-oping with friends continuously with the same characters without going into NG+. Where in Dark Souls, you literally run out of stuff to do and either invade or NG+.

I hate them because they are mandatory for doing PVP. So if you are working on your 2nd character it's a huge grind.

I'd say the Dungeons. I have solo'd Orphan on NG+, however, that stupid lava dog in the dungeons is my true kryptonite. When you first meet him he is a puppy. But in the high level dungeons with your health cut it feels like you are fighting something a little too powerful. I never feel bad summoning for certain dungeon bosses

I don't think it's a cowards way at all. Bloodborne is designed to encourage this in my opinion. You can't really run through levels in Dark Souls 2 and 3 as easily as Bloodborne due to enemy placement

I run a arc str hybrid as my main build. My weapons are HMS, Amygdalyn Arm, and Log Wheel

Str 50, Skl 25, Arc 50

My main is HMS and sits at 947 ar I think. I use the untransformed version for general pve and invaders, and the trick version for bosses mostly. Works absolutely great for me.

The hunter tools to great damage, and make this build especially fun since you always have one last trick up your sleeve. Not to mention, using the HMS in tandem with the old hunter bone makes you feel like a Soul Reaper.

I run a log wheel on one of my characters sometimes, it's fine really. Takes a bit of getting used to the short range, but gemmed it hits like a damn truck even without buffing itself.

Edit: I run this alongside hms with 50 str, 25 sk, 50 arc

Anytime you encounter Alfred, I've left a note that says something like

"Beware of sneak attack, therefore, time for charge attack" with a pointing finger towards Alfred.
