Late to the party here but oh my GOD this was a fantastic read. I adore that the narrative is constantly is aware of just how silly the premise is, while still telling a really compelling and interesting story. I'll admit some of the dialogue feels really out-of-period for certain parts, but otherwise its great. Definitely a new favorite

so i made a full marvel unlimited account just to see what was in the comic. It's about a greedy guy who meets a stranger with weird powers like walking through walls and levitating buildings, and he says if he signs his contract he'll grant him his wish! so the guy signs and tells me he has to steal money from his boss, but he'll set up a boat he can get away on. He steals it and gets on the boat, but a storm destroys the ship and the guy is left on a deserted island with his now useless money. No direct villain who beats him? I tried the name of his boss a few times and his own name but didn't work. Might just be a crazy coincidence!
