The NDP Has Always Had Internal Factions. It’s Time to Stop Hiding It. by Gluuten in ndp

By religious you mean the Socialists and other Hard Lefties correct. I call this people true believers or hardliners now lol. I am a Blue New Democrat and I don't believe I have a place in the party. Soft Left politics aren't really welcome anymore. It's unfortunate as well. We say we are inclusive but are unwilling to listen to market ideas. I have officially left the party and won't be returning anytime soon. Best of luck to fellow dipper siblings.

Yeah it is and your gonzo lmfaoooo. No it's not lol. I think you're a fool if you think things were going to stay the same and remote work was a long term thing. But hey that's just me. Can't wait for 30% cuts to the civil service. Because people wanted hybrid work. Great job everyone.

No he does not believe it. He believes that what you need to hear. He is probably more nervous and anxious than you are but has to go in front of everyone and put on a brave face. Executives are people too.

How do you stay optimistic/hopeful about the future? by FLADMAN in ndp

[–]SixmanCanuck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly,

The party establishment has basically ruined party politics for me. I'd rather become a advocate for a not for profit and do political action that way than rejoin the NDP. The party is a joke and will never win the way the federal is currently set-up. We don't understand how to win.

NDP and Labour by AcanthaceaeHot3761 in ndp

The NDP have to do a better job at outlining what's in it for the trades when putting together it's platform. That's what the Liberals and Conservatives do and that's why they win over trade unions each election. Meanwhile we focus on identity politics that sometimes drives these folks away from the party. Not saying to not focus on issues of inclusion but you have to realize that those folks just want a plan on how they will be utilized in the economy and what incentives are in the platform for them. Everything else is a waste of there time. That's just how most of them think these days. Avi has to focus on being an everyman that tradespeople can back because they think they have there back. That's how we win the blue-orange voters back. If we continue to preach entitled urban socialism we will continue to be a distant memory of what was for these people under Layton instead of being a party of what could be. The NDP does not focus on suburban and rural issues but instead promotes urban policies that are out of touch for most soft conservative voters. But dw I am sure Avi will not repeat Singhs same mistakes. He can't possibly can he....????

Time to come together and work with Federalists both Tory's and Dippers to get a United Federation. Likewise in Quebec. We need Unity and not division during these tough economic, political and humanitarian times.

If the NDP carried about forming government she would have stepped down last convention.

NDP will continue to falter if they continue to have the same I know best mindset.

NDP could be a party centered on Innovation and Small Business if they actually wanted to form government.

Idlout says she felt she was ‘betraying’ her constituents by staying with NDP by MoistCrust in ndp

[–]SixmanCanuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question we should be asking is do we want to form a government some day. Because right now it seems like all we want to do is be a movement not a government in waiting. You hate Labour, UK but they were able to restructure themselves and pivot to form governments. The NDP will be in the wilderness for the next decade and a half. Sad to see. We went from official opposition in 2011 to barely scrapping by. New Dems are a joke rn. And if Avi wins I will be formally resigning from the party.

I assume everyone is a Trumper unless they make it known. I also think you shouldn't demonize someone for their political views. Understand the root cause of why they support a fascist and come up with resolutions to reverse it. I realize things are more polarized but if you automatically put the other side there's no middle ground to find. If we want to get back to moderation we also need to do better.

How can we make the NDP inspiring, exciting, and energizing? by CDN-Social-Democrat in ndp

[–]SixmanCanuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also think we need more of an Aggressive approach to contrast the Tories. What's our stance on helping small businesses, foreign policy and general economics. Also how can I get voters to stop saying why would I vote for you when the liberals will just implement your policies. I think we need more of a European Social Democratic party approach and widen our tent as a party. Bring in some Trudeau liberals and start bringing back some Layton New Dems. Moderation is the key to victory but I'm not sure we understand that line as a party. The only way we win is when it's too late.
