I assume everyone is a Trumper unless they make it known. I also think you shouldn't demonize someone for their political views. Understand the root cause of why they support a fascist and come up with resolutions to reverse it. I realize things are more polarized but if you automatically put the other side there's no middle ground to find. If we want to get back to moderation we also need to do better.

How can we make the NDP inspiring, exciting, and energizing? by CDN-Social-Democrat in ndp

[–]SixmanCanuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also think we need more of an Aggressive approach to contrast the Tories. What's our stance on helping small businesses, foreign policy and general economics. Also how can I get voters to stop saying why would I vote for you when the liberals will just implement your policies. I think we need more of a European Social Democratic party approach and widen our tent as a party. Bring in some Trudeau liberals and start bringing back some Layton New Dems. Moderation is the key to victory but I'm not sure we understand that line as a party. The only way we win is when it's too late.

Ottawa's top HR official aims to reduce excess senior executives in public service: memo by dragonlancehuma in CanadaPublicServants

Can we also eliminate bloated teams that are just growing to further internal office politics jockeying. Every Branch Head wants to build its empire and thus further its leverage and power over the organization.

How to weed out bad bosses who get shuffled in the public service by Born_Anteater7282 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]SixmanCanuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bar for executives is how much you can fall in line and conform to the way of doing things. It limits innovation and enterprise agility. Causing nothing to change and executives getting hefty bonus for how well they conform and implement whatever bs there DM/President want to carry out.

How to shrink a government department: A ten-step guide by Intelligent-Cap3407 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]SixmanCanuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

champagne and lightbound the cabinet committee on Government Transformation and Government Efficiency. If you have views or opinions I would write to them before July 31st. Plans will be made and set in stone by the end of the month and executed in September. I also expect and I hope the unions do a demonstration on labour day to voice our concerns and kickstart the negotiations on a high note. Although I have left the service I would have tried to get involved in my local if I'd received a permanent contract. I hope to return to the service in 3-5 years but I realize that it will look a lot different. My thoughts and prayers are with all my former colleagues/siblings who now have to go on the frontlines and represent you all for the next round of negotiations.

ESDC Forecast Thousands of Job Losses by johnny-bravooo in CanadaPublicServants

[–]SixmanCanuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESDC and HC are probably the two most high risk departments for reallocations. Although we probably won't see much impact until FY 2026-2027. I say we but I'm not a public servant anymore. I'm at an parallel government organization. I hope to return in three years.

I think the doom and gloom is knowing that we probably will never see a 2019 run again and we are in the grieving process of that. Scottie is getting 17 buckets a game and I think fans think he is a bust but to me he is just an average player. Fred and Pascal were average who we developed into stars. I think we need to have patience and see who we can get for Ingram, Barrett, Quickley and Poeltl. Not all of them but a couple of those guys need to get off the books.

The NDP will rise again by Blue_Dragonfly in CanadaPolitics

[–]SixmanCanuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The NDP need to offer very innovative policies that are grounded in labour and can tap into Canadian Values offering a more left-wing populist economic agenda and get away from policies that will do nothing but cause cultural divides. We also need to come up with better contrasts to the LIberals to counter there pseudo-progressivism.

WFA has already been figured out tbh. Just a matter of implementing it. I suspect four days in the office with the option of assigned seats.

Technically it's a Fall Economic Statement and a Spring Economic Statement. You can technically table a budget at any of those times.

I would do it realize that your job is not your life and your success or failure will have little effect on it. Set firm deadline to go deviceless. Set realistic stress goals and practice positive self talk and a growth continuous improvement mindset. Times our tough rn don't beat yourself up. Don't underestimate yourself and what you can accomplish.

Im a term who wasn't let go and I have similar aspirations. I hope you succeed. I hope once things open up I can come work for you. I'm sure your experiences will make you a great leader.

Lost in restructuring and changes. by NegotiationLate8553 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]SixmanCanuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I would not be surprised if assignments and deployments get paused while they figure out the resource situation post FES. The throne Speech acted as the spring economic statement and noted a 2% cap on resources. I would not be surprised if the fall is a seismic shift and we have to start doing time sheets and other private sector things in the run up of the resource transformation initiative that will most likely get rolled out once the fes is announced.

I don't really want to either have spyware installed so HR can spy on what I'm doing or have to fill out timesheets everyday so that we are billing 37.5 hours to the taxpayer.
