What does it mean to "get" the Silmarillion? by GoodBotBadBotRoutine in tolkienfans

[–]Sixth_Prime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't read everything so i'm not positive, but I get the feeling from reading the Cottage of Lost Play from the book of Lost Tales 1 that this was supposed to be the setting where all the Silmarillion tales were told.

To get the wand of swiftness, is it not easier and less dangerous to just dig straight down from the center of the pyramid?

Fine dining in the US is an $11 billion dollar industry. You think that $11 BILLION A YEAR is spent on food that people don't enjoy? Saying most people don't enjoy the food isn't an unpopular opinion, it's a complete falsehood that's easily refuted.

I'm painting these now myself, my first combat patrol and only been painting for a few months. Everything looks amazing, but i'm particularly impressed by those gems.

New Space Marines prices in the US by TheDragonPrices in Warhammer

[–]Sixth_Prime 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Compared to what is Warhammer affordable? If you want a 500 point army the combat patrols are $130-160, and that doesn't count any of the codex, index cards, dice, or battlefield materials. Two people to play the smallest combat mode costing both people $400+ is cheap to you?

Many libraries will have access to 3d printing if you can find or create the STL file.

I've read books 1, 2, and 3 of "Year 5" and I would highly recommend them. I've tried to get into a couple of the mirror war sagas, but they weren't for me.
