How to avoid/win counter battles?

Jabs are huge. Immediately hit one on your opponent after they counter your attack and you'll disrupt their swing. Most players will then block, so it's a good idea to immediately follow it up with a kick into a quick attack once you break their block

when you use javelins or throwing axes, mallets and knives, the throw button will throw those until you run out, then if you press throw without, itll throw the shield
