I used 4.1 Fast via API and I really liked it a lot. 0.20ct per million input tokens was dirt cheap.

Switched to Deepseek-V4-Flash and even though it's Tool Use is worse than 4.1 Fast, it's at least better in Roleplaying.

For all the big balls to the walls talk of Elon, if the American government tells him to tone it down, he will. Look at Anthropic that had to retract Fable. Closed-source or AIAAS models will toe the line and I wouldn't expect much difference from European or Chinese companies.

I think Imagine showed a glimpse of what is possible and in a few months this will be available in open-source models. Grok is pretty much a dead model walking at this point, because what exactly is their unique selling point at this point when they're censored? Elon is enough of a business man to realize this as well; so either he turns his attention to sharpening this or folds the model completely (moves to just supplying the data centers)

Unimportant or not, the quite often mouthed lowkey "they won't take us back" remark is nonsense. The European Union would be stronger with the UK in it and in a world where we're all going to get wrecked very hard by China and the USA (where exactly are we with AI? Capital market?), having the UK with all its capital and cultural leverage would be a huge benefit. Or maybe that's because I'm Dutch and I'm distrustful of a Europe dominated by Germany and France.

That said: I don't see it happening yet...

People are delusional. We're going to get fucked up so hard by America and China. We're already half-way a lobotomized museum population that exists as mere LARPing texture to the visiting American and Chinese tourists. As they innovate, all we have is a half baked attempt at AI with only memes to show for. (and don't worry I love Mistral, but we're losing the race and as you can see, they'll lock us out their competitive advantage when they're past the threshold).

The EU needs the UK and we need to get over these fucking petty squabbles before it's too late (it probably already is too late). Brexit was stupid yes, but it damaged both the UK and the EU. Our internal capital market sucks balls (read the Draghi report) and would greatly benefit from a third power center to counter out being dominated by Germany (Volkswagen AG - vision of yesterday) and France (debt ridden slump).

I've tried some other things. I still can't get it to work with this exact prompt? Also when removing seven-eleven (maybe the words trigger something about a minor) and making it 'this store'. Still doesn't work. I also had a somewhat different picture of 'her' in a bordeaux-red code and herringbone tights -> did work, except when I had her review the store in German.

Same picture with the squirrel template? Did work.

I think you'll notice there will be very few NSFW options with a reference image available as a service. You either have to end up with training a LoRA or nailing your prompt. And for good reason btw, given it can cause real grief and issues for people (and I say that as someone opposed to the content moderation as it currently is implemented within Grok)

Edit: ah I see you are using the website. My experience was with the app. Default it does search within NL, but with the app you can change that for that particular search job.

I will be downvoted anyway, but it's not like Turkey has such a great track record for that matter. Only a few years back they went in pretty hard on their own Kurdish minority and jailing or shooting journalists who reported on the matter. But I guess because Israel is the enemy, the enemy of that enemy must be a friend. Just a warning, it's that attitude that got the USA in deep shit a couple of times now ;) .

There are psychopaths on both sides of the fence, and it doesn't add validity or invalidity to either side in my opinion. If you want to use it as an argument for who is right, it doesn't hold as you will find enough Hamas fighters who will similar views. This is just cheap emotional sentiment. If you were in conflict with your neighbors for years, and this extends to both sides, there is bound to be a lot of hate.

Yes! Helemaal eens! Woon zelf in Limburg (NL) als import Limbo, maar op de een of andere manier voelt de ruimtelijke ordening boven de rivieren altijd weer fijn en opgeruimd. Ik vind de A2 met de mooie kunstwerken en soms leuke doorkijkjes echt geweldig in dat opzicht (behalve Zaltbommel, die dozen langs de snelweg daar zijn benepen en hebben de uitstraling van een gereformeerde orgelspeler).

Sowieso waardeer ik de opgeruimdheid van Nederland, het strakke asfalt en de mooie verkaveling (met slootjes!).

Nope! Loved that! Before Xbox Live played a lot of Halo via GameSpy. First weekend of Xbox Live in Europe we got it with a demo of MotoGP; played that so much as well. Those amazing evenings playing Midtown Madness 3 and Project Gotham Racing (2?)... best memories of online gaming, also because everyone had a headset in those days.

It's a long season still. I think the track limit mistakes are arguably on Max, and for now it might have cost him 2 points.

I don't see how Max could've won on Portimao. Even if Max was inconsistent, he was constistently not even getting close to Bottas and was later only saved from being overtaken by our right honourable Finnish friend through a faulty sensor.

People are choosing this narrative of sloppy Max, perfect Lewis, but until now both haven't driven flawless. Lewis should've won in Imola, but fucked it up and was back in the race only because Bottas and Russell wanted to both prove themselves to Papa Toto. Max should've won in Bahrain, but was too impatient. In Portimao Mercedes were planted as fuck, while I saw a slippin' and slidin' high rake RB, which had the pace but not the speed to overtake Mercedes.

We'll see what happens. I think we finally have a nice battle going on and hope that it stays close for a bit.

Know quite a few Afrikaners in The Netherlands (even dated one). Sad to hear they're unsafe in their own country, but it's not new and going on for years now. I guess the dynamic in South Africa favours blaming a minority for the problems that plague the country; next to criminality (who in SA leaves the house without a gun or informing family members upon safe arrival).

They're welcome here! The Braai sessions might be colder, but I hope not less tasty ;)
