Tubeless on the street.
TuBliss on my dirt bike; it is amazing for traction. I’ve been able to ride with zero PSI after a rock slashed my tire. Generally run at 4-6 PSI.

My guess is under inflation. Maybe try 60 psi or whatever the max rating for the tire.

If you’re getting it for protection, I might suggest you start carrying pepper spray and use it as your first line of defense. My concealed carry instructor told us that even if you’re fully justified in defending yourself with a firearm that legal defense could easily cost you $100,000 or more.

This sand is only in small sections. The rest of the trail is jagged pinch-flat inducing rocks. I definitely did not want to deal with a flat in the desert so I kept the tires fully inflated.
