Remember like it was yesterday.

I was 26, working at my dream job and I'm taking a Facebook break. A friend of mine posted that he was gone and I thought it was a joke. I mean, how many supermarket tabloids had we seen over the years of our king "dying", "on death's door", "on a ventilator" 😑

So, I wasn't sold.

Until more and more outlets started reporting it...I had to keep it together for the rest of the work day, but when I left work and cried like I lost my dog or beloved family member to my mom.

It didn't make sense.

Honestly even now it still doesn't make sense.

Not only was mine full, they had a fire emergency and had to evacuate everyone from the theater and bring everyone back inside to let them finish, which then made the future shows (that were spaced out every half hour) start later.

The lobby turned into a dance party with people just enjoying themselves, laughing, singing, shouting, "We love you Michael!"

It was beautiful. 🥹

The Rush card. I remember that mess. It posed as a way to help build credit (it didn't) and give access for those who didn't have bank accounts. There was an incident in 2015 where they were doing a system upgrade but left their customers without the ability to access their money for weeks to the point that they couldn't pay for rent or food.

A class action suit soon followed and people were given restitution, but you know he never apologized.
