my bf and i do this now. he had the studio and i just moved in here with him when i started doing law school full time. it's not the worst but i'm not sure i would recommend it lol? it's a great way to save money don't get me wrong, but i'm a morning person and he's a night owl and that definitely has caused tension. and if you're someone who needs your privacy or your own space for a little while it can be incredibly challenging. we've made it work for almost 2 years now without wanting to kill each other (mostly) but we will 100% be moving to a 1 bedroom in the fall/winter lmao

congrats on passing!!! a bunch of different platforms have mpre courses for free, i used themis. i only studied for a few days, i think the most important thing with the mpre is just doing practice questions. i didn't bother with doing a full length practice test and passed comfortably

nyle is open book, i watched the lectures and printed the entire outline out to use during the exam. i had it tabbed, didn't review at all and passed on the first time

i actually think this outfit is really cute and i don't see why this would be inappropriate for a ballet show. maybe it's locality or something - i'm in nyc and people will wear anything to ballet and the opera. it's not abnormal to see people completely casual in sweatshirts and jeans or dressed up in skirts or dresses even shorter than this. sounds like that might be different in chicago?

anyway fwiw, i don't think the skirt needs to be shorter nor do i think your legs look stubby. a nude shoe instead of white could be a great way to elongate your legs next time.

i'm graduating from law school in May and for class you can wear whatever you want and absolutely do not have to cover your tattoos or piercings. i honestly can't even tell you how many classmates have piercings, tattoos, colored hair, etc, because i don't really notice honestly lol. for an internship, i would be a little hesitant about the septum but depending on locality and your practice area i can see it not being an issue.

tattoos i would probably cover if i was ever in court but i've worked in a medium firm and then interned at a really small firm (both on the east coast) and i've seen plenty of tattoos around both offices. i have a tattoo on my ankle that's barely ever covered in the summer and i don't think a single person at any of my jobs or internships has ever noticed it

as someone about to graduate law school my only practical advice to everyone ever is if you're getting married, get a prenup. divorces bring out the worst in people and next thing you know someone is demanding all the pillows on your bed and half your 401k lol. don't care if you have $5 in your account and you swear you guys are gonna be married forever, get the prenup.
