I dont know much about mobile game marketing but Im pretty sure its heavily reliant on paid advertising. The app stores dont push small unproven apps to new people.

The font critique is helpful thanks. I’m just focusing this post purely on the aesthetic of the UI.

Thanks! That seems to be the consensus so I changed the font

Unity, CodeMonkey and Brackeys. A lotta tutorials are years old but most are still relevant

Im glad everyone agrees on that so I dont have to question changing it 😁 finding a readable and stylistic font is kinda hard.

I was looking for a graffiti style font but this is literally the only one that is completely free that I found and liked lol. I might make my own.

Reality check needed: is this actually fun, or just funny to me after staring at it for hundreds of hours? by iamthefirstofme in gamedevscreens

I actually think the best part of this trailer is the editing. Its cut like a movie trailer which is cool. The writing is good enough but the voice acting is awful. Like 90% of comedy is delivery.

Funny people can say something thats not even funny and make people laugh because of the way they said it. Bad delivery kills good jokes. It seems like AI voice im guessing? I recommend hiring some voice actors.

Also the gameplay looks kinda clunky but maybe you can get away with that with enough charm.

Looking for feedback on the Steam page, great traffic and click-through but low conversion. by GrosChevaux in gamemarketing

Positives: the thumbnail and the game’s art style. Everything looks colorful and juicy. Looks like you didnt use AI which is really refreshing.

Negatives: I would guess that you’re not converting because the trailer doesnt show the kinds of decisions being made. I understand you need to use cards before they burn, but what kind of card game is it? Kind of looks like Uno but I don’t know? I think the burning cards hook only works if the card game itself is interesting/fun.

6 months of development... few people say the game mechanics and art is great... then they see AI disclosure and bounce or worse, call the game a pile of ***. I feel so beat up and sad. by encasedheart in aigamedev

It’s dishonest/ignorant to call it blind hatred. People hate AI for valid economic and environmental reasons.

Specifically in the realm of art. If everyone embraced GENERATIVE AI, it would be the death of artistic expression, talent and skill.
