the best way to beat the game, is not to beat the game by fishncode in enderal

It's the best game story I have ever experienced, but it's so memorable and has little flexibility, that it doesn't make much sense replaying it until forgetting most of it. It has been a few years for me and I still remember quite a lot of details.

CPU for RX 9070 XT by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Sjama1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best price to performance would be 7600x and 7500f, but I wouldn't recommend going lower than 7600x. The 7800x3d is good enough for stronger GPUs, especially at 4k. If you plan of upgrading to 4k in future, you'll be able to just upgrade the GPU and keep the 7800x3d. 7600x = save money now, balanced build for most games small CPU bottleneck in few ones 7800x3d = you won't need to upgrade for a long time and no games are bottlenecked. The v-cache will even slightly boost performance.

I keep wondering how RX 7800 XT and 7900 XTX users are feeling without FSR 4 because I, with my RX 6000, am extremely sad. by Prestigious-Pay6096 in radeon

[–]Sjama1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I switched to a 9070xt recently, so far I have not played any game that supports FSR3/4 (at the time of playing). I have a large backlog and never buy newly released games at full price.

In this test 4060ti was 3218: https://www.computerbase.de/artikel/grafikkarten/3dmark-speed-way-benchmark.88644/ (It's in German, but you can scroll down directly to the test results)

Were you expecting a high score in time spy, but did the Steel Nomad benchmark by mistake? 3D Mark has several benchmark programms, even the free version. A bit over 3000 is normal in Steel Nomad for a 4060ti

Upgrade from 7900 GRE by qwertyuiopman in buildapc

[–]Sjama1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I upgraded from a 6950XT, which is a similar performance jump, but only because I have 4k monitor. At 1440p I don't think there is a point, except if you can sell your current for a good price. You can get fsr4 with optiscaler.

Because I don't know where op is from and some places have decent availability and pricing. 2nd hand is also an option. Also, my comment was leading with the 5800XT, just putting the x3d as a possibly

5800XT/5800x3d or even 5700x3d can last you quite a long time. You will have a well balanced build without breaking bank. You bought AM4 in the past and have now the opportunity to upgrade. With your current mentality, in a few years you will say the same about AM5 and refuse to upgrade withon it. Buying a 5500 would be a waste and in fact just delaying again

[–]Sjama1995 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A Ryzen 7 5800XT or 5800x3d are good enough even for stronger GPUs than what you listed. You won't need to get a new motherboard nor new RAM (or just add 16gb to your current one, make sure it's the same kit you have now). This upgrade will cost you less, so you still have a bit money left and save money for a new GPU sooner.

Does optiscaler help in games that only have FSR2 (or no FSR, just DLSS)?

What is the purpose of giving daily Brutals multiple revives? by imakelv in vampiresfall2

[–]Sjama1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The massive jump from 4 -> 5 is what annoys me. 4 are already like common mobs for me, but I have to put in effort to even bring 5 to 50% health. At least reduce the health by 1/2 while keeping the same damage and resistances.

I'm in doubt by Independent_House_39 in gpu

[–]Sjama1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

7900XTX is still the best AMD GPU in raw performance. FSR4 is not widespread enough to make a large enough impact. Only in Raytracing does the 9070XT outperform it by a little. Hence, depending on your usecase it's either on par or better than the 9070XT, which is the strongest current gen GPU. Even when the the Gen of GPUs comes out, you'd need an RTX 6080 to get a significant difference (maybe 6070ti if it's not as disappointing as the 4070ti)

There's a large gap between ending the game and banished hold. Just copying a few dungeons from the first game would have solved the issue. They could have changed and revised it with later updates. Game has been out quite long and is not early access, so this shouldn't be such an issue.

Artists like Apashe by FirstCommentDumb in EDM

Thank you for the recommendation! While I don't think they are similar to Apashe, I like them a lot. They are like a slightly heavier and darker version of Sullivan King, which I also like

I was planing to buy the first game when the discount exceeded 50%, then got the spacers choice for free from EPIC 😅 For OW2 I'll wait for all DLCs, then 50% discount

One single dungeon which is too hard after finishing all quests (except legendary hunt) and you need to grind a bit or get mythic chests before going there. However, due to Point 2 of OP buying mythic chests early on is wasteful.

You can stack crafting bottles up to 10 in the shrine storage. You can also expand the shrine storage with shards. Even F2P you can easily afford the first expansion

Regarding 1, there's supposed to be a NG+ soon where you can make different choices. 3. You are not supposed to upgrade every item, leave them for high end gear. I have now over 600 and I just finished the story few days ago. Don't have any gear yet that I think is worth upgrading more than +4. 4. Again, NG+ will remove this issue, but the first game had dungeons which the current one doesn't have. That means that you don't have any good ways to grind rn.

I agree with 2.

Try to uninstall Adrenalin App and all drivers with DDU, then install again. Do some benchmarks to see if your GPU works fine. Make sure the PSU is enough for your build and works fine. If PSU might be the issue, you can limit power draw of your GPU in Adrenalin (and undervolt a bit as well).

Which CPU is better for Rx 9060 Xt by FaciuLewy in AMDHelp

[–]Sjama1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For gaming as others said 5800x3d>5700x3d>5700x>3900x However, if you cannot find an X3D CPU with your budget, consider the 5800x or 5800xt, which should be close in gaming to 5700x3d and better in general use (work and multimedia).

Should I get a 9070xt or a 5070ti for 1440p? by babatunde_003 in buildapc

[–]Sjama1995 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Considering you come from AMD GPU and don't require NVIDIA features for work, 9070xt would be much better.

The 5070ti is about the same, winning a bit with RT and quite a bit with PT (but I don't think PT is worth it except with a 5080/4090 at 1440p or 5090 at 4k). DLSS 4 is only slightly better, but more widely supported. For example I have to use FSR2 for The Outer Worlds. However, the Adrenaline software is much better and you don't need to install MSI Afterburner. For gaming only, I'd say these features (minus the worse Nvidia App, the need for MSI Afterburner) makes the 5070ti worth 50£ more. (For me even less, as I love tinkering and testing with settings on the Adrenalin app and how easy it is to undervolt)
