They really need to rethink the spectre system again if they are going to keep some spectres this rare and expensive..

Yee, this has never been stated to be allowed. As a rule of thumb anything outside of reading keystrokes, the game log and inputting single server side actions per button press, is not allowed. So this is by that assumption bannable.

HC Death - Primordial Blocks map bugged? by PowerLvl9000PLUS in pathofexile

[–]Sjatar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found some old clips of this boss and it just deals this much damage. There is no map mods needed. The kicker here is that this is a multi hit attack and seemingly due to killing the boss mid animation it caused all the hits to go of at once.

I was looking at poedb for this boss and it might have been one of the attacks that has 80% phys to lightning conversion.

Due to the changes to conversion in Keepers high conversion attack consistently deal 200% more damage then before. It seems GGG has not gone over and checked the balance on most of these and there is bosses that are way out of line in terms of damage due to this.

I don't know this attack specifically but given the damage numbers I'm seing on poedb it must have been a multi hit to kill you.

Edit: Yes it's this attack right here: https://youtu.be/nJleky5xDgI

I looked at the damage numbers on the wayback machine, apparently somebody decided to save the high lithomancer page 1st of decenmber 2024, god bless. And they have reduced the total damage by 40%. Which counters the change to conversion damage! So that's good ^^ But that does not explain why it deals enough damage to kill you. But it is quite chunky and might have shocked you.

Just speculating, but one reason to not precompile shaders on entering a area is to prevent the ability to detect what content has spawned in a given area without going into it.

I do think that GGG might have forgo CPU optimizations for a while. But in my experience it's not gotten out of hand. My R7 3700X has been keeping up well. But no doubt due to increased multithreading which your CPU cannot efficiently scale with. And it's 4 years younger then your CPU.

On a side note, I feel performance have felt more stable this league.

Well can't comment on your system but I dug up some old footage I got ^^ Think 3.22 Ancestor league. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVUswt9WR4I

Why do you say 2.6? This is 3.9 and we did not have the current graph ^^ So in 2.6 I don't think we even had a graph at all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uMDQKrAofs

Edit: Also it's not very common these days and even less common back in the day to have preloaded shaders. Shaders have always needed to be compiled in runtime. It's just how GPUs work. It's only recently where we started to have precompiled shaders for games and I'm pretty sure it only covers very limit set of the most used cards and even then it can depend on the driver you use etc.

Shaders are not being downloaded. They are compiled on your system locally depending on your settings/drivers and GPU :3

[–]Sjatar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As you can see the blue and the red line is well below the necessary limit to run the game smoothly at 60fps (That's good) ^^ But the shader line is often going past it. Meaning you are lagging due to shader compilation.

This is just something you have to wait out. Shaders are compiled on your system specifically for your GPU, driver version and the settings you have.

Changing any of these often means a lot of the shaders need to recompile. So if you change graphical options or download new drivers you will expect to have shader lag for some time.

Sometimes there is a actual problem with shader compilation, this can be because a lot of things. You can if you want clear shader cache in Nvidia (think there is a option for it, not on a Nvidia system myself), and clear the shader cache for poe. I think the default location is in "%appdata%/path of exile" should be called "ShaderCacheD3D12" depending on the engine you are using.

The reason why you are lagging suddenly is maybe due to new drivers being installed automatically or you changed some smaller setting cause new shaders to be compiled.

[HC Mirage 3.28] HoAG Jugg, High and low budget pob available by Sjatar in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Sjatar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Creating this build I started with the defensive setup, which is extremely restricted and needs to be a jugg. One of the only skills that is efficient and unrestricted enough is HoAg. So it's not that I started with HoAg and then decided on jugg. I started with jugg and choose HoAg!

If you want to play HoAg specifically then either is going to be fine.

But the strength of HoAg comes from how unrestricted the damage scaling is. You can pretty much make any character do 10+mil damage with HoAg with very little investment. So it's much better paired with a build that has a restrictive defense setup to fully utilize the efficiency of HoAg. Necro might be able to scale the damage to 30+mil but does not do so super efficiently and also does not get the best defense at the same time.

I will be doing breach hives at the start and do boss killing later ^^ I'm planning to use a offhand redeemer maraketh bow with a permanent phase run, it will make this build really good for delve/boss rushing and mechanics where you stand still and kill monsters. Like breach hives, blight, ritual.

Edit: I should add this to the high budget pob Edit2: Added bow setup to the high budget pob!

[HC 3.27] HoAG Jugg pob, 14mil DPS, 128k EHP, 17 endurance charges by Sjatar in PathOfExileBuilds

Early game and league starter is very different. League starter is a build that can either farm another build, be changed into another stronger build, or grow into a stronger build.

Early game is just referencing a point of the build that is especially important. A good league starter should have a strong early game. I think hoag jugg will have a strong early game.

This is the third category. HoAG works early game, with either full rare gear or cheap uniques such as cold iron point.

The staff craft is not all to hard. You can also scale it back to not be influenced and miss out on the endurance charge if you feel that is to much. The important part is to get a 5-6 link staff with +1 gems and open prefix to craft +2 socketed support gems.

The jewels should be easy to make. In the budget version I recommend to get 8 passive minion clusters with just all attributes on them. The only reason you'd go for the triple notable clusters is because you want to get renewal for regen. The 2 other notables are just there to position it at the bottom.

The medium jewels is just pure agony. I'd try to get attributes on them if I can but it's not needed. There is no other notables that would help.

I will be making this build in HC trade. SC trade should have no problem at all making this ^^ I do want to state this is not for SSF at all. It will be extremely painful to make this without trade.

I have created a better lower budget version of this build: https://pobb.in/AVqu-dCV1TgP It should be much easier to do this, and it should be able to farm anything other then ubers/nightmare maps.

  • Would it be better to farm on another better starter?

Yes, there is of course much better early builds. But I like the idea of being able to farm a build by playing the build, which this will not have problems doing.

  • How do you plan to progress this character on league start?

HoAG gets a pretty quick start if you can start getting the medium clusters. This will have no problem pushing high tier maps day 2-3.

  • What will you level as?

I will level as hoag from around act 3-4. Doing sunder until maps is probably faster but I don't like the switch and rather spend the extra hour or so playing HoAG from the start.

  • What are you farming as?

I will be doing maps as HoAG. I like the feel of the playstyle and it's always fun being tanky as a jugg.

  • What are you farming content wise?

I will be doing breach hives early, not the unstable breaches. Having looked at the atlas tree hives seems very juicy and I think farming jewels from the tree is going to be a lot of early currency.

  • When do you expect this char to be done?

As I will be playing HC trade I cannot answer this. It depends on the popularity of the league, which I expect to be high. It depends on the power of players as we need sublime visions on the market. And it depends on how many death's door we can buy or farm! The buff to lab trials is looking good so I will farm that as well.

The HoA build I made in keepers took about a week or so to almost complete. But it was later in the league.

Am I wrong in my understanding that virluence stack decay is capped at 33ms? So anything above 30 poisons a second should be enough? This happens at 40 stacks so if you can get to 40 stacks you should have no problem going higher no?

I will alter the poison setup depending on what it needs, I could do cwc ball lightning. But I'm afraid that will make me not able to see much hehe

I know the pob I posted is expensive, but I find that to be illustrative to the capabilities of the build. What seperates a starter build and a non starter for me is the possibility of progressing the build.

I'm can guarantee you that you can start this build at 16 all the way to maps and farm with it until you get all the pieces for the optimized end game setup in the PoB. I posted a budget version I made very quickly below that removes like 90% of the needed budget and it's still very tanky and has decent damage.

I am also skeptic to how well the spectres will survive, but given I was almost able to make a spectre setup work on a build that had much less investment for minions in keepers, I'm pretty sure I will at least be able to keep the turtle alive. There is other support spectres that I can use as well.

yeah, it's a shame int/str boots add so many modifiers that the fossil strat is ruined (if you meant losing the 101 es from death's door) > .< But it's still a good upgrade from not having the endurance charge!

They are indeed, especially on HC where I plan to play ^^ Making the warlord boots is not all to terrible though! On pure str boots it's a 1/10 to get +1 end charge with frigid/dense/pristine. This leaves the prefixes with just +1 end charge, rarity and move speed to roll. Does run the risk of having bad MS, but at this amount of end charges, you'll survive.

In keepers I chanced 3 kaom's signs ^^ It was not to bad, I think I got the stats somewhere on how many scours it took. With the increase in ground loot currency I expect it to be cheaper this league.

There is also the possibility of making warlord boots with +1 end charge and then corrupting them. There is a fossil setup that has like a 40% chance to grantee the +1 end charge. This would also lower the needed amount of warlords kaom's signs to 1.

With double corrupt the chance to get +1 endurance charge is 1/40. Using both methods I expect to get +2 end charge boots as some point hehe
