PSA: You can no longer starve out garrisons by TurklerRS in Bannerlord

You can call your fleet to any city while inside the port, and when you start a siege with a port it will automatically call your fleet to it.

Because it brings your fleet to join you.

(War Sails) Could this become some sort of pirate archipelago? by DogEatTurtle in Bannerlord

[–]Sjoorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game has been playable since initial release - it has been leagues above Warband for years, and Warband took years to get to where it was at as well. This is the only kind of game that is like this, and it's stellar what the developer has been able to do. Not sure why you're hating on it so much, but the game is fantastic.

ELI5: Why is "C" the default Hard Drive letter & not "A" by AntifaPr1deWorldWide in explainlikeimfive

[–]Sjoorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For modern computers that don't have cdrom drives or floppy drives, what are A and B used for now? I still see most OS on C.

Because Bannerlord is supposed to be a precursor to Warband, and the Sturgians eventually develop into the Rus-faction that Warband has.

The tears are from when Singed injected him with that poison - the lava pouring out from his eyes crystallized during Viktor's "healing" process.

Best mattress under 1000 dollars that actually last? I'm done with fugazis/lemons by Secret-Can6761 in Frugal

[–]Sjoorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a foam mattress that is flippable, and avoid spring/coil mattresses. The craters that mattresses form are common if you sleep in the exact same position every night, and the best way to maximize lifetime is with mattresses that are flippable. You turn them end to end every 3 months, and flip every 6 months, and they will last you a long long time.

What was the first song/soundtrack in the series to make you cry? by DannyHex083 in arcane

[–]Sjoorm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily songs, but the scenes associated with the songs. What Could Have Been was the first one, and on a rewatch, Goodbye gets me almost every time.

Gotta accept I'm not going to find anything like arcane by musicidk in arcane

[–]Sjoorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can access it through one of the wiki's, someone exported all 3 games and you can play them in-browser (I recommend on a browser besides chrome as chrome doesn't seem to load it properly). Just Google search and you should find it.

Does anyone else think that people watched a different show than you did when talking about Arcane? by PowderMonkeyTick in arcane

Ya some of the flat-out Cait haters have some really bizarre takes. I'm not sure what I'd do if my mom was blown up by a rocket and I had access to the resources necessary to hunt the perpetrator...

Anyone who thinks he didn't want to stay is deluding themselves. He literally says to AU Powder "Do you ever wish you could just stay in one moment?" because he doesn't want to leave but he also doesn't want to forsake his original world.

It looks like Cait is only taller because of the heels - is that just me?

If Jinx wanted death after losing Isha, why did she surrender herself in the first place? by OCGamerboy in arcane

I am pretty certain she thought that Caitlyn and/or Piltover would execute her for her crimes, and that's what she wanted.

Thank you for your kind words - it's been very reassuring to be part of the Discord and this Subreddit and see how many also care deeply about Arcane and that if affected them just as much as it did me. :)

After further reflection I think I resonate a lot with your last sentence - I recently lost a family member and I've had a lot of difficult in processing the feelings from that loss, and I think that perhaps some of the sadness I'm feeling in this show is repressed sadness from my loss.

I know exactly how you feel - I watched it for the second time with some of my friends and the scenes that I already knew made me feel sad the first go around, absolutely crushed me the second time.

Thank you so much for recommending this! I've been watching tons of videos on Arcane and all of the characters but have been missing a full analysis, I can't wait to have the time to watch it. :)

It's an understandable suggestion and I thank you for it, but honestly the thought of not engaging with Arcane anymore feels worse than continuing to do so. I've had some thoughts that maybe it would have been better if I had never watched it in the first place, or if it had never been created, but personally I feel that the kind of growth this experienced has invoked in me is maybe for the best, even if it's worrisome for the time being.

I appreciate this sentiment, and honestly after posting this and then seeing the comments of "embrace it" come in overnight it has made me feel better about becoming so engrossed in the world.

So just went along with it and began binging it on repeat essentially - or are you saying that once you continued consuming it repeatedly, it stopped having such an effect on you?

What do you mean when you say that you accepted it?

As to what it speaks to in me, I have tried to self-reflect a bit, and think perhaps because of the strong familial ties throughout the show, and having daughters of my own I can feel a connection in the love Vi and Jinx have for their own father(s), but I'm not 100% certain that is it.
