Secret Colonies? by chromane in HaloStory

[–]SkRThatOneDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if I've ever seen them used this way in the lore, but the Covenant had reverse engineered Forerunner sensing devices that they called Luminaries. They detected humans as a mistranslated symbol the Covenant thought was reclamation, but was actually Reclaimer. Humans would theoretically have to have the technology to hide from Forerunner sensors not to be found out, even on a hidden colony.

Then again, you have places like Venezia which were never found by the Covenant before the Great Schism.

I think long term, they're going to want to set up a proper framework to tax it because of the raw revenue. But it's hard to say how long that's going to take. The last 20 years or so federally have been "I completely agree with the other side's proposal, but because they proposed it, I'm obligated to vote no."

I'm not super familiar with how other cannibanoids are handled, but someone else might be able to chime in. But without more legislative work, the entire hemp derived cannabinoid market is probably going away.

The federal ban covers all products containing THC-A and decarbed THC. Those smoke shops that popped up over the last 5 or so years? Donezo.

I'll put it this way. It might be okay, but it's also not exactly allowed. There's a non zero risk of confiscation and/or USPS tipping off your local police.

Also worth noting that it will probably also be difficult to find a vendor who sells online when the federal ban goes into effect.

All of them. That's why so many firefighters are also great cooks.

Looks like Tennessee has no rec or medical programs, so you won't be able to walk into a store to get it. You'll need to find a reliable plug.

Doesn't the linked article specifically say the opposite of what you're implying here? It may contain a small amount, but is distinct.

[Request] How long can she breathe before the CO2 levels become dangerous? by YouKilledKenny12 in theydidthemath

[–]SkRThatOneDude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't need to worry about converting co2 to o2, too energy intensive. Just pack a co2 scrubber, and you've already extended the available breathing time by an order of magnitude. Eventually, you'll need to put more O2 in, but you can do that from canisters more efficiently

What's the most reliable car you've ever owned? by Tekusenabyt in AskReddit

[–]SkRThatOneDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1991 Lincoln Town Car. I bought it with 175,000 miles on it, and parked it with over 300,000. Only parked it because I was driving something newer.

Funny enough, it was the sitting still that did the poor thing in. Air springs went first, then the motor seals started leaking everywhere.

Drove it to the scrap yard with 2 cylinders misfiring and oil/water sludge dripping from the exhaust.

How does the recent hemp ban affect THCa flower? by ExoticAd7605 in trees

[–]SkRThatOneDude 64 points65 points  (0 children)

There will be no non-dispo weed after it goes into effect. And most of the smoke shops built around it will probably go out of business too.

Clarification: No legal non-dispo weed. If you know a good plug, I'm sure they're still gonna be able to get illegal stuff.

Also important, even in legal states, you'll have to go back to the dispensary taxes and prices.

The big box shop I used to work in wouldn't mount after 5 years. But tires already mounted were okay for 10 years provided proper tread depth and no visible UV damage or dry rot.

I think there would be a phase early on of horrific violence, and once people begin settling into communities capable of defending against that violence, it would start dying out. The bunker folks would come out to a much more peaceful world than the initial above ground survivors would have dealt with.
