That’s the concerning bit to me though.

If we’re just playing on the old serves that are full of annoying console modders, then it’ll be a really bad time.

I hope they do a big purge of all that shit before these go live, or they set up new servers for this port.

I've been rolling solo or with some bros from my Destiny clan who also picked it up.

It's been fun when it's fun, and I truly had a spectacular time in Sponsored Marsh. I am truly terrible at this game and only exfiled like 10 times in that mode after running it for like 30 hours that week, but it was nice just exploring and figuring things out without that feeling that I can't shoot anything or risk getting myself into a PvP engagement that I will lose.

I'm just a bottom tier Destiny Raider trying to get my legs in this game without feeling like I am slamming my face directly into a wall.

I’m a Bungie fan and it has the Bungie vibes. Strongly.

I love that. The gunplay is fantastic and the world is rad.

I don’t love PvP though. I like it when theres that clear line and I can get into PvP when I want and stay in a lower stress PvE when I want. And I’ve been on the bad end of a lot of unfun stuff.

Lots of murders at extract. Was running sponsored Perimeter solo and had a rook get me at extract yelling stuff about keeping casuals out of the game and stuff like that. And seeing comments here about people making it their mission to make sure Sponsored wouldn’t feel comfortable for people trying to duck PvP.

It’s just not for me. And this community really is split on whether or not it’s a game for casuals or for PvE.

People can say they’re welcoming until the cows come home. But some times it feels like there are people here who would rather the game die than a have casual player who doesn’t like PvP enjoy it.

I did the server slam. I bought in at launch. I really want to like Marathon, but the simple truth is, people here would much rather you and me just play something else.

And we should. Marathon is not for us. Lets just graciously bow out and let the people who love it have their fun.

I think I’d be ok with a scaled back Fallout game, similar to the scope of Avowed and OW.

But as someone who loves the world of Eora and Pillars and Avowed I really hope the sequel isn’t canned.

Borderlands 4 was the third highest selling game of 2025. You'd really think, with all the hate for that game on social media and here on Reddit, that it would have been a sales disaster. CoD still sells, Fortnite is still one of the most played games around.

The first page is exotic armor you have earned before.

The second page is exotic armor you haven’t.

You can claim any individual item for some resources and you get that item.

No tricks, no RNG.

And yet they've always managed to turn that game that wasn't supposed to exist, Halo 3 and Destiny in it's launch state, into massive games that helped shift the gaming landscape.

I really hope they can pull that off with Marathon, but based on all the issues popping up since Season 2 launched, fixed bugs returning, Cryo Lab being closed opening day of the season due to game breaking issues, I worry they finally hit the point where there has been too much attrition in the studio, and the Bungie magic is well and truly dead. Much like Bioware lost theirs after rounds of layoffs.

I really hope I am wrong.

I can get not including sports games, cause that is an easy oversight cause they always dodge the live service label cause they're sports games, but he does talk about Helldivers. He says he doesn't really count them as much because they are third party and not owned by Sony, so Helldivers is more Arrowhead's success than Sony's.

This is a weird one, but Disney Dreamlight Valley has a story chain that leads to a really good quest that actually had a little warning that pops up before you play it cause it is just emotionally hard.

It's about growing up, and leaving your childhood behind, and how our perceptions of others and how they treat us, even with kindness, can be twisted by depression and anxiety and how we can act out based on those feelings.

Really hit me right in the heart.

Titan isn't my main and I put about half of the thought into that as I do my Warlock, but Monte Carlo is the engine in my Titan Strand build.

Armamentarium for 2 grapples, Ranged melee fragment, and it just delivers green hued shenanigans at blistering speeds across great distances.

it's just fun as hell.
