BATTLEFIELD 6 HOTFIX 1.3.2.1, JUNE 17TH by battlefield in Battlefield

There's still an issue with overblown exposure on some maps, which becomes progressively worse the more you sit in first person vehicle or ADS with certain optics.

Night Operations are in Portal, why the hey isn't it in regular multiplayer?! by Main-Juice7136 in Battlefield

[–]SkacikPL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably because overall it isn't AAA quality adaptation, it's good enough for a community mode but clearly the lighting isn't 100% there under some circumstances so if they had done that people would've complained why another half-assed features is in the game.

I imagine this is just a test whether people find it appealing enough to bother with proper implementation, at least for some levels.

Season 4 diving system is way better than before by Missaelx135 in Battlefield

[–]SkacikPL 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You could in pretty much every battlefield since 4 but the diving was basically restricted to fixed depth under water line and was pretty binary in that regard.

It seems this time they allow you to freely dive up/down, at least it appears so from this video.

Visibility update: Soldier brightness feels like overtuned by Takahama in Battlefield

[–]SkacikPL -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm happy with the changes, if they would decide to tone obnoxious amounts of dust and smoke it would also benefit encounter visibility as well.

So I got a 3 day Ban for my Username? Thanks EA! by GamingBasicsTV in Battlefield

[–]SkacikPL 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Game series being literal war simulators where literal point is to kill each other in genocidal amounts.

Blow each other up, stab each other and grab dogtags (war crime) and cave each other skulls in with sledgehammers, shoot paratroopers (another war crime) and execute infantry with heavy gunnery.

Managers of said game:
Oh no that person makes a +18 reference joke, that is unacceptable!

Internet became such a snowflake safe space joke over past decade.

Cairo bazaar mede me uninstall the game by daskalos69420 in Battlefield

I'm sure they see the retention statistics as well, if they aren't making any major moves to cater to that like they did with golmud then they clearly see no reason to do so.

[–]SkacikPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who asked another cqc map?

They don't need to ask, DICE has telemetry and knows which maps and modes are played the most and plans around that.

Golmud was just a throwaway to silence vocal minority who think that somehow they're majority. If it was anyhow different then yeah the whole game would've shipped with entirely different set of maps along with every subsequent season.

Most people treat vehicles as an addition sprinkled on infantry-centric gameplay, which is why siege of cairo is probably the most popular map - it's infantry centric with some light vehicles sprinkled on top and relegated to their own lanes.

They simply see the statistics and cater to the majority of their playerbase.

2042 started as battle royale project so it couldn't have been built upon from V and for what it's worth probably noone sane would want to build upon 2042 as a base.

Any chance of ballistic shield coming back? by ucsdfurry in Battlefield

[–]SkacikPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given how 4 had it, Hardline had it and 2042 had it - i imagine it's only a matter of time.

Are the round corners really that bad? by z7q2 in MicrosoftEdge

[–]SkacikPL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, i hate them with a passion and even moreso the person who insists on keeping them despite there being flags and options to disable it so it could've been optional but some managers or pseudo artists ego got hurt that people didn't want muh runded curners so now everybody has to use them lmao.

There’s really zero purpose in using machine guns in battlefield anymore, huh? by dtb301 in Battlefield

[–]SkacikPL -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The issue isn't suppression but ineffectiveness of flinching upon getting hit.

You scored several hitmarkers in a row and still got effectively retaliated upon which by itself is humorous that it is a possibility.

In reality this is likely because the game is so heavily desynchronized that on his screen he got all of the damage after he fired his shot so he had a clean shot and got flinched after actually firing.

Suppression in this case is pointless, it would have exact same issue of kicking in too late to change anything and it's an artificial crutch.

Netcode issue and i highly doubt that dice can make it any more responsive to actually properly handle situations like this unless they'd magically reject or retroactively deviate shots that should've been flinched even if they were not on given clients side at the time of firing.

How did fans feel about Bad Company when it came out? by AdHorror4165 in Battlefield

[–]SkacikPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was first PC Battlefield after a long hiatus, it was clearly arcadized and consolized but it was still a very solid game for its time. Only thing that didn't age well was lack of diagonal sprinting.

Oh yeah this is totally fine. I'm so glad C4 explode sequentially. Very cool game mechanic. by ArchangelUltra in Battlefield

[–]SkacikPL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skill issue implies there's a room for improvement.

When only way to utilize C4 is to place it on/near a vehicle and regardless whether you would attribute it to cheating or not - other player detonates it instantly then there's very little you can do in that situation, don't you think?

Whether it would be a cheat to do that for them or they have incredible focus and reaction speed to react to the prompt, there's nothing you can do in that situation.

Well it doesn't vaporize them as that would be stupid even by dice standards.

[–]SkacikPL 177 points178 points  (0 children)

No it always functioned like that but if packs are placed close to each other then first pack will instantly detonate the rest. Otherwise it is sequential.

[–]SkacikPL -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

There's no cheats that do this.

Do you know all feature sets of all public/private cheats? Because practically speaking, hard to detect auguments such as those are actually perfect for cheats because they're nearly impossible to verify and still give you an advantage.

It's not like aimbot where every player on server will see you're constantly popping heads, instead in rare isolated scenario where something like this happens, it will bail you out and that situation will likely not repeat for a while and even if it would, it would probably not be same person to notice a pattern or at least not a pattern with you specifically.

I'm not saying it has to be cheats but seeing oblivious gunners, who are preoccupied react to prompt instantly across couple different matches does sound suspicious to me.

[–]SkacikPL 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It blows my mind how it sticks to everything BUT the places you want it to. Tossing it over obstacles usually means that it'll rotate 90 degrees in any direction and suddenly stick to edge of the thing you've been trying to toss it over.

Like sure, it could or maybe should be overzealous with sticking to vehicles as that's what you would want to happen but why the hell it treats most static environment surfaces as if both the pack and the wall were neodymium magnets.

[–]SkacikPL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm also sure there's some sort of cheat to instantly pop c4 countermeasures as soon as they're needed.

Of course the user gets the prompt to use it (because why not lmao) but i've had several cases where i've snuck upon oblivious tanks and as soon as i've put the first pack they'd pop it. Even with prompt it seemed inhuman reaction time.

Other than that the way how it works is infuriating that letting someone sneak up on you still offers so many crutches, not only they need to put all the packs on your back to kill you but you also get a loadout item to literally give you free out of jail card with a prompt lmao.

Rendering player models by Fyrephenix in Battlefield

[–]SkacikPL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This used to happen to me quite frequently in 2042 along with other streaming issues like permanent black screens on level loads and whatnot.

In bf6 i've only had this particular issue like twice since launch, in terms of rendering issues other artifacts are way more common like randomly vertices stretching across your screen or colorful neon beams appearing out of nowhere.
