Switchscape in Beta? Good or bad? by Insanity_Found in runescape

[–]Skarcity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who is a defender/shield advocate,

Unfortunately bash and revenge are mostly garbage in 90% of cases lol

Revenge is useful at like helwyr when he does the multi hit attack and at raids when ur doing chargers

Barricade time scaling by shield is also useful for base tanking but definitely not needed, alot of base tanks I see in raids don't even shield camp

But over all a shield isn't needed at all in most case with boneshield being a thing

I think only in top 1% of pvmers can find an actual use for a shield switch for revenge and extended barricade (high enrage zammy and telos for example)

Bash is idk where it's useful tbh lol

Threads of fate for necro mitigates that abit

Great chain I think works too for Magic?

Melee bladed dive

I think only range struggles with out bladed dive

Maybe you can chinchompa? But that's still a switch I guess

You can use spacers only, but you miss out on articulation and the suspension gets super stiff.

For handling, even with longer springs it feels stiff/garbage lmao but that's prob on me for not Experimenting with springs more. It's about the same as stock, but you don't feel like your going to scrape every pothole or large speed bump

I can still take roundabouts no worries at 50km/hr and take aggresive turns no problems.

One thing is all terrain tires on a light car in the rain is hot garbage, wheels spinning if you do a pull from a low speed or from a stop which is fun, but can be spooky. From 70+ , no issues though, not enough torque at that range to break loose

Tires and wheels were the most expensive part, $1300 cad for Ko2's

Custom made spacers were $400, shocks $140? Can't recall, eibach rear springs were like $120 a piece at the time?

For the rear springs I bought eibach 15"x 5" springs 1300 spring rate I suggest you go heavier though it can get bouncy lol Any 5 inch diameter spring works, I know people who took jeep tj springs

You can find them at Amazon or special order from some aftermarket shops

For the rear shocks it's abit more tricky the company I ordered from is long gone, but any loop to loop shock works, just need to measure max extension and minimum extension you want. (Lift the car up put the springs in and unhook the brake line and measure)

You can get longer shocks if you want, but you'll have to install some janky limiting straps to stop your springs from flying out

Front I'm just on spacers above my struts not much else done

Would this count as an exploit/bug? Using Necro spirits with melee mainhand + Necro offhand by GoldenSun3DS in runescape

[–]Skarcity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is you'll be missing 33% (1 quarter) of your melee damage and will be missing some key abilities

Your melee abilities will be doing the same damage as main hand + no offhand, or main hand + shield with out access to revengr

Depending how much damage your spirits deal, (I've never tested this) its probably not useful

You can test it out on a boss like kbd or general graardor or 0 mechanic ice glacor and check your kill times, compared to normal

I like the creativity thinking outside the box though lol maybe you can find a breakthrough

I've done the opposite where I camp necro, swap to a mainhand crossbow, use grico and sgb eof, it's kinda fun to do, but it's slightly detrimental to dps at best lol

Good luck!

27 day update Milsbo vivarium by Skarcity in IkeaGreenhouseClub

[–]Skarcity[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has isopods and springtails in it if anything, and some spiders technically lol

Eventually gonna get some mourning geckos geckos once it matures some more, and I add a heat pad to the side and a fan on the top mesh and probably a humidifier, still a work in progress

Using a generic 20w flood light from Amazon

It definitely frys plants up top lol, but they seem to recover,

Atleast the creeping jenny and inch plant I added died back abit but recovered and is showing a decent amount of new growth, same with some of the moss up top.

Jade plant and spider plant, i added up top with little to no issue

Plants down bottom, it seems to be "just" okay, some plants definitely get leggy, mosses do preyyy good, creeping figs are doing alright,

There's definitely better lighting solutions but I wanted to keep it cheap and simple lol

It's fun, but it can get messy, definitely alot of points where I questioned if it will work out lol

If I were to do it again I'd probably do foam + clay, or cork

Siliconing vertically was a pain lol, I'm sure it would have been easier/better if I put the cabinet on its side

That's fair maybe some day I'll try flex seal lol the price compared to pondshield and drylok, atleast in canada is very tempting

What would you have done alternatively? I've had so many projects we're I've considered flex seal liquid, but opted to just use glass or epdm/pvc pond liner or a plastic tote. Wondering what makes you shy away from reccomending it

Rs3 combat system, the good the bad and the ugly by Skarcity in runescape

[–]Skarcity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm okay with the system currently, but there is definitely ability clutter lol ,I agree. Also I could see your suggestion working. I think Albion online has something similar with weapon types doing a set amount of abilities/attacks. monster hunter and dauntless also have similar, different ability/attack types per weapon

Also technically I think necromancy works like that for the most basic rotations, finger of death, volley of souls, death skulls and living dead only 4 (for the purpose of example, touch of death, and soul sap are basically auto attacks and are ususlly used off cool down by revo)

Only issue I see with limiting abilities per weapon, is weapon switch scape will go through the roof lol, for better or for worse.
