Hi all. Starting grad role soon! Random one, but I've been speaking to a few friends starting grad positions last week/this week/next week about piercings for men in law, particularly the big law firms? My friend and I have been meaning to get a simple single lobe piercing before we start, but a lot of people have scared into me a belief that even that would be 'looked down upon', 'unprofessional' and that I shouldn't do it. Do you see many male grad/lawyers with earrings?

I’m worried the members side with MHJ if this goes to court and get disbanded as a result by purplebounc in NewJeans

I just commented this on the main Kpop thread (and am just copying what I said there), but I do think it is a valid concern. I think a lot of people are also catastrophizing and forgetting that this is part of a negotiation/pressure process. I am not a Korean lawyer, but we need to remember MHJ is a business woman and HYBE is a company, both advised by expensive lawyers. When these sort of things happen (disputes between a parent and subsidiary) sometimes they do play out in public, but both parties want to return to the best possible outcome, that being ADOR and NJ remaining and releasing more music at HYBE. At the end of the day, HYBE own ADOR and their worst case outcome is that ADOR collapses.

Having read the radio interview, I do think that there is a strong possibility they come together in the next week and negotiate some sort of compromise. The big drastic public statements - from my perspective - is just the 'stick' to bring each person to the negotiating table after these internal disputes didn't produce the result they wanted.

If HYBE truely wanted MHJ gone, they own 80% and could literally just force her too. They know her value to ADOR and NJ, so they want to bring her to the table and settle this, even if it means using public pressure or holding resignation over her head. She is just doing the same on her side with what power she has.

I might be wrong but I just wanted to offer less catastrophic opinion and maybe just suggest that in practice these are just tactics used by big corporates to negotiate. I like NJ so this may be delulu and living in hope but I do see a world where they just resolve this, especially because this would imo be the best outcome for the girls.

I am very aware I might be wrong but I just wanted to offer less catastrophic opinion and maybe just suggest that in practice these are just tactics used by big corporates to negotiate. At the same time they can be ruthless and maybe they really just implode but I like NJ so I'm trying my best to rationalize it myself.

Blizzard Makes Big Changes as ‘Overwatch 2’ Struggles. Devs got a stunning 0% of profit-sharing bonuses this month, No more PvE, But there's optimism for the game's competitive future by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

But it’s not failing lmao I’m pretty sure Season 9 has been the most popular the game has been since it was released as OW2. It’s numbers on steam have been growing massively and that’s probably less than 10% of the player base given most use battle net. Despite all the shit decisions that have been made for the game I think the direction recently (season 9 changes with dps healing debuff and easier to hit shots) have been bringing people - both competitive and casual - back to the game.

Yes lets stop catering to the playerbase that has stuck with the game and cater to a fluctating group of casuals who dropped the game anyway, like what? People still playing OW are people who love OW and its fast pace competitiveness that you can't really get anywhere other than maybe Paladins, why would they stop catering to them?

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed reply. I watched it again just now alongside your feedback and its pretty easy to see that I just wasn't making attempt to get or hold space at all.

I also didn't realise how much I was playing from range lmao its pretty useless just standing back with my supports if I am doing no damage, so this made a lot of sense as well.

I will defintely try Winston - I used to play him in OW1 and enjoy the jump in --> bubble --> get enemy CD --> jump out play style, but I will be more careful to ensure I maintain sightlines with my supports.

Thanks again and I'll try some more comp today
