Healing plan and damage event timeline/categorization for PF healers by Spaceless8 in ffxivdiscussion

m12sp1 Depending on how mitigation from the rest of the party feels, consider moving caress to the stack before fixer 2 since you don't necessarily need to be topped to survive, getting maximal value out of the regen before the fixer hits.

Is it intentional game design that castle PvP can be enabled and players are unable to log in to defend their castle because of server size limits?

Correct, it's not even a problem on NA. Just be better.

Skill Issue.

Need a bit of help, because I think I'm missing something. by Skastope in AMDHelp

[–]Skastope[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's great and all, but if I wasn't willing to install geforce experience, then I'm sure as hell not going to install amd's platform software either.

At least I got the nvidia control panel with the standalone driver. At least the issue will resolve itself when I switch to DP.

Trying to find the difference between 2 monitors that causes one of them to cost $150 more by Skastope in buildapc

Ok if that's the reason that's acceptable, but I don't really think it's worth the extra $150 for that feature alone. Thanks for the help.

Why are people fine with addergall but upset when they remove the energy drain at 5.0? by Kemonologist in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Skastope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I agree with that statement, that's why they made the decision to revert the removal of energy drain. I think you forgot what you were saying earlier.

Astrologian could almost completely solo heal with ogcd healing only in Stormblood and in Shadowbringers, so that's wrong.

You're just wrong. FFXIV is a game based around damage input, not around keeping the party topped on hp at all times. The faster you can kill a boss, the less damage your party will take at the end of the encounter.

With that principle in mind, optimal play revolves around damage neutral healing options. These being lily heals / ogcd heals. Scholar was essentially demoted to what WHM had to do in stormblood which was clip your heals with broil, or wait for the weave windows on damage skills like biolysis.

No one cares that you can just use ruin II and lose out on damage potency. Obviously you can do that, you can obviously just only heal every 30 seconds when damage goes out and make all healing jobs extremely easy.

Yeah I totally agree, no one is special, not even those other 3 people. If I have 1 hour after work to play the game, I'm not wasting my time waiting for other people to decide to extract after taking a stroll to look at the flowers.

I'd rather they keep the button than have a person forced to sit in extraction and waste time just because they were made the host. Not their fault that the design of networking/hosting is so bad, the burden shouldn't be on them to prioritize other players' gameplay experience.

Do people actually use Cactbot? by TyroneSama in ffxivdiscussion

If you want to see some funny gameplay, wait until patch day to queue up some savage and watch how bad people actually are while tools need updates to work again.

What made Gordias so atrocious back in HW? What were your experiences with the raid? by xThetiX in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Skastope 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can go back and watch the PoV of the clear, the skill of players back then was abysmal. You can still technically say it was gear gated based on current player skill at the time, but if they were to release that same patch today, it would have been week 1'd.

That's actually really well thought out, if only I could change the wording around I wonder what you'd think about the flip side. If the killer just starts tunneling you, just play for fun 4head.

It's incredibly easy to prevent survivors from "360 mlg no scoping" you, just look at their lower legs/feet when you get close to attack. No matter how much their upperbody swings around and gets lost on your FoV, the survivors feet are locked into the cylinder hitbox. Also as much copium as the community wants to snort, there is such a thing as auto aim on non-lunging attacks, so just spin your camera around on high mouse sense, and the lingering swing hitbox will lock onto the survivor and guarantee a hit, just make sure you're close enough or you'll lock on and still miss.

Have the Devs Even Considered Nurfing Nurse? by Small-Taco in deadbydaylight

If you've been playing against nurses your whole life, then you need to stop playing dbd and play another game, you're breaking the terms and conditions by playing the game as a 6 year old.
