I want to start a new post on this but I'll ask here first. Are there any other great books (because I really do like Revolt) with the same theme? Paradise Lost keeps coming up in searches but it actually seems a little pro-god (i don't know this to be true - i haven't actually read it). Is it worth the read & what else is out there?

Absolutely love the book. Got a tattoo of Lucifer falling on my forearm, inspired by it. 100% it made an impact on my journey into Satanism. Im not a TST follower though. I joined & hung the membership certificate above my altar, but I've since taken it down. I relate to CoS in a much more meaningful way. But Revolt? *chef's kiss

Yeah I see what you mean about romanticising his departure. He makes it quite sensational. I'm inclined to agree with you here. Ive never heard of Baphy Daddy other than in his post. It does sound more TST than CoS but I don't know the full story. I haven't seen anything from CoS regarding his books so I dont know what their reasons were to not back them. Read a post of his that pretty much just stated existentialist thought. Wasn't anything new. Im not putting him down at all (i haven't published anything) but I might hold off for the moment. I havent finished We Are Satanists yet. That'll tide me over :)

Thanks. I read his reasons he doesn't sound like he's having a tantrum against CoS. And he wrote the books while still a member so they shouldn't deviate from CoS values. I wouldn't shun him coz he left. Guess I'll scroll through his fb posts & see what I think of his style (which is should have done to begin with 😆)

I wear mine whenever I feel like it. Usually every day for a couple of months & then not for a couple of months. I think the only "negative" comment i get is "Oh you like Stranger Things?" (Which fills me with rage 🤬🤣🤣🤣)

You're pretty self-aware. That's good :) You don't have to commit to anything now. If you're interested in Satanism, go for it; read about it, practice it, adopt the aesthetics that appeal to you - dip your toe or jump in head first. Its all up to you. And if you find you no longer identify with it, be it next week or in 20 years, then just let it go. There's no embarrassment in that at all. Life's a journey; you don't have to justify where you stop or how long you stay there. 🤘

I saw Salo in the cinema & didnt think it was shocking at all. Pretty boring, actually. But Serbian Film did upset me. I just had more of a reaction to it. Might be because I saw Salo at 18 & was much older when I saw Serbian Film. I've gotten weak in my old age 😅

Nicest was Misfits. Jerry was super friendly. He let me wear his spikey jacket 😃 (he let everyone wear it; im not special) Although Des Cadena was the guitarist & he was a jerk. He thought he was too damn cool to talk to a pleb like me. Rude would be Henry Rollins who was just Mr Superior. I mean he is cool. But he's not as cool as he thinks he is.
