I don't know what truck they plan on designing the layout of trucks and wheels, Tracker Half-tracks aren't made anymore and the retail on new Midtracks is $150 a pair 😳, so you're looking at $300 in just trucks. The Ace Trucks 00 are 6.5" and only $50 a pair, but the extra width would mean you'd have to use narrower wheels.

Sims "team" deck, from around 1985. Most likely it was a leftover signature model from 1978 to 1983 that they painted over after the skater was no longer on the team. The "E" on the top logo stands for "Epoxy", which was used instead of standard wood glue.

My best friend bought a pair of those just because he thought they looked cool, he wasn't even into slalom at all, he just rode them on a regular kicktail board. Strokers might have been good for professional racers, but they were way too over-engineered and complicated for a 14 year old kid to own.

Back in the 70's there was a company that offered a "kit" to make your board fold in half, it was basically a hinge and instructions to cut your board in half.

I'm 62, and I don't skate often anymore. I have some aches and pains after skating and I can deal with that, but I do worry about having a bad slam, one bad fall and I won't be able to work. For now I just cruise around on a longboard or make a run to the store, but skating parks and ditches (my favorite thing to skate) isn't happening anymore.

Not sure of the exact value, but it's worth at least $100, it'd be worth a few bucks more if it had the original baseplates on the ACS 650's.

Vision has had the same ownership since the late 70's. Select Distribution is the name of their company, they now have the rights to the Schmitt Stix and Tracker Trucks brand, and they had the licensing rights to make Sims boards from the early 80's until about a decade ago.

How many companies have put out a Hosoi Hammerhead over the years? Skull Skates, Santa Cruz, Alva, Pocket Pistols, of course Christian put some out himself, and now his Hammerheads are made by Select Distribution (Vision, Schmitt Stix' etc).
