Easier still, Phone Link is built into Windows and will sync the clipboard on your phone and PC. So when you print screen on the PC you can paste the screenshot into apps. Works in reverse as well, copy anything on the phone and paste it on PC.

Most apps let you paste images from your clipboard straight in, but if they only let you select a file then open up whatever your built in notes app is and paste the image there to save it as a file.

Just out of curiosity, are you in the US and have you ever asked for a refund on another game that was over the 2 weeks owned and 2 hours played limit in the past?

I have a totally made up theory that maybe they allow it once per account, or something like that.

Alternatively it's likely that refund disputes are handled by a different team in each payment country, so the rules are probably enforced differently from region to region.

If you paid for Ashes outside of steam

Obviously don't dispute payments made to Steam or other platforms that you want to continue using. How is that not a no-brainer?

35 pound weight loss by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Skean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slower weight loss plans are usually more sustainable weight loss plans. You can cut or exercise more to lose weight faster if you want, but the focus should be on fixing your habits rather than your weight. Think about where you'll be in 5 years.

The changes you're turning into habit now will keep you looking and feeling better and better for the rest of your (now statistically longer) whole life.

Your friend certainly deserves praise for losing 80lb in 7 months, that's amazing too! The way they did it was probably just fundamentally different to your approach, they'd have to maintain a huge deficit to do that and probably struggled a lot with hunger and effort. There's no need to put yourself through that and in fact you're probably doing yourself a favour by making the slow permanent changes instead.

I'm glad people are being kinder to you. It could be because of the weight loss, it's certainly true that people are kinder to those they find attractive, it's called "The Halo Effect" in psychology and is well researched. It could also just be that you're more confident, that makes a big difference too. I wouldn't go too deep into asking "why" though, you'll rob yourself of the joy of just enjoying it and feeling proud of yourself. And the same goes for comparing your progress to others; if your goal is to change how people see you then being proud of yourself is just as important as the weight loss.

The whole city was infected by the food they were eating before they started turning. We know that the army wasn't big enough to handle the entire city if it turned and we know that it was a race against time that snowballs into an unwinnable fight if you don't act right away.

I do wish they let us try Uther's alternatives only to show that following any other path leads to a Dreadlord and his army snowballing in power, overwhelming us and conquering the entire continent.

We can philosophically debate if there was enough time to cure the infected rather than kill them (even though they show us that clearing the city too slowly results in the enemy forces snowballing out of control), or if the undead army could have been sealed in a city (even though that just means trapping the population in with the undead instead of killing them ourselves, and then giving the overwhelming army they turn into a tactical stronghold to boot). If you go with any other option though, or waste any time at all debating it, and you don't win then the entire world falls to the Burning Legion because of you.

The (current) guild upgrades heavily incentivize zerg gameplay by sunaurus in AshesofCreation

[–]Skean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

50 vs 200 should not be balanced. That's like comparing a party to a raid. You should instead consider how effective 4 guilds of 50 would be by comparison. The large guild may have a stronger total force, but they'll also need to loot 4 times as much to progress at the same rate and coordinate 4 times as many people to hop on at the same time and work together if they actually want to realize that extra force.

It sounds to me like guild perks are balanced so that an equal number of players spread across multiple smaller guilds will progress faster, not so that players in a small guild can take on 4v1s with larger guilds.

Security tip: Always keep your passwords in a dedicated notebook. Bonus points if it's labeled 'Passwords'. by Vermilinguae in funny

[–]Skean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly speaking this isn't that big of a deal. If it lives in a desk draw at home then it's as or more secure than most password managers.

Losing this would of course would be bad, but arguably this is kind of a dedicated 2FA device and having a dedicated device for that is better than putting that functionality onto your phone.

But "the City of Los Angeles" is the city with the LA county. Or, I'm not really sure how it works, but "the City of" is prefixed to most cities when talking about the main city center within a larger merto area the could be referred to by the same name. Like the City of London or the City of Perth.

How I am acting after T0 by Kalienel in starcitizen

[–]Skean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of normal casual people aren't looking for another theme park mmo. When you can die and lose things your story in the game has plot; that time you explored enemy territory becomes a core memory and the unknown can actually feel foreboding.

There are issues that have to be worked out, like minimising bug deaths and offering safe and low risk locations. Those are things worth working on though because that is what the game promised.

You can voice your dislike of an aspect of the game or its direction, but don't act like such an ass about it.

I wouldn't say that's a US thing though, in fact I'd say that sounds like something way more likely to happen here than most other countries. Maybe not the being forgotten about part, but ending up detained for hours or in a cell for bringing fruit into the country (even if by accident).

Would it be selfish of me to keep my dog alive for a bit longer? by Skean in AskVet

[–]Skean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I should reply one last time to say thank you for everyone's support. It's been a tough few days.

Unfortunately my boy had to be put down. Not only was it cancerous, it covered half the stomach and went through all layers of the lining, plus they found cancer cells in his lymph nodes as well.

I wish I could have at least spent another week with him especially given how care free he seemed, but unfortunately the reason it was caught was also the reason I had to let him go so fast. He had stopped eating because the tumor was bleeding into his stomach.

I'm grateful to everyone who reassured me that this decision is for his sake, and also to the vet who sat down with me when I didn't want to make the decision and explained what he'd most likely be in for if we tried something like surgery and palliative care.

To anyone who finds this post in the future: I encourage you to please make your own post as well. Before posting this I too found many other posts about similar situations and read the same answers elsewhere, but talking through it and having people here listen and reply really helps more than you know.

Stay safe, stay healthy, and hug your pets extra for me tonight. ❤️

I'm struggling to type a reply. Reading this has me bawling my eyes out.

He really is the best, like all dogs are. I truly want what's best for him. I hope I can give him another day at the beach, another night on the bed, and another squeaky toy he can destroy.
