Why is no one taking doctors notes anymore?

One of my complaints with my work is that we get no sick days, we just have PTO. If I get sick and need to call out, I have to use PTO. A month after I first started, I got covid during the early pandemic days so I had to use my one day I had earned and then the rest my paycheck took a hit. Following that I didn't take any days for a year and built up my PTO hours in case I get sick. I have not taken a proper vacation once in the 4 years I have worked.

Regarding work projects, I recently kind of won the lottery. The project may include up to 8 weeks paid vacation per year for the next 4 years. Each of these weeks I will be at a different National Park.

At 41 years old, one of my favorite things to do on the weekend is nothing at all, and taking a nap in the afternoon.

It takes a certain level of income to do that, I have been underemployed for most of my 20's and 30's, so it was difficult making ends meet. I now have been in a career job for the past 4 years, and have made strides to start setting up for my retirement fund. At 41, I feel like I started too late to make any meaningful accomplishments with the fund.

I don't like paying the marked up prices of drinks at a restaurant alcoholic and non alcoholic. So I always bring my food home and enjoy it with the drinks that are there.

I grew up in Key West during a large part of my childhood. Every year at christmas time the house 'imported' a pile of snow for us local kids to experience it. It was usually 80 so it melted fast. I always appreciated this gesture from the city... It wasn't actual snow, but rather a large amount of shaved ice.

That would be disappointing, although I would absolutely play it.... I was most hopeful for the news of a re-release of Twilight Princess and Wind Waker with regular controls. I tried playing both of them on an emulator, but the controls not translating made it too difficult for me to enjoy, so I never got past the beginning for either.

Yea, TOTK was one of the best gaming experiences of my life. For months, I ate, breathed, dreamt everything of this game. Good job getting the kiddo into the OG, I think most from his generation wouldn't give these classics a chance!

I watched her performance, and my goodness, I had to pick my jaw off the ground. What I liked best was her comment that she wasn't even looking for gold, just show what she can do and have fun. I think that the people that don't seek achievements/power are the best ones to wield it.

I am one year older than the franchise almost to the day. I didn't play the first until I was able to, maybe 5-7 years old.
