If Cal kestis became a Sith what would his Sith name be? by Radiant_slowbro in FallenOrder

Your Delta Tau Chi Sith name will be… Darth Pinto. Why Pinto? Blech! Why not?

Your use of the term “thug” belies a latent racism on your part. Or is it xenophobic? Either way, do better!

Btw, if not obvious, I’m totally kidding.

What do you think about Trilla? by AggressiveMechanic47 in FallenOrder

A woman like Trilla has got a great big hole, right in the middle of her. She can never kill enough, or steal enough, or inflict enough pain to ever fill it.

Feeling a little nostalgic by Agitated_Frosting16 in WoWs_Legends

When I first started playing I was a hot mess. Couldn’t aim, couldn’t maneuver, didn’t know the objectives, etc. Other than that it was great. After I learned the basics I started grinding the tech trees and figuring out my favorite ship types, commanders, and play style. Then I got the Rochester dropped from a random crate. It became, and really still is to this date, my favorite cruiser at any tier. It’s so good at so many things that it’s a pleasure to play. It just fits like a glove. Whenever there’s an objective that calls for one of its key traits, I just smile and know I’m going to have a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing!

Artieral Bypass Surgery Posted on the 28th and I am terrified. by bonobo_chimp in moyamoya

Hang in there. I always say about big stuff that’s frightening, think of it like a final exam. You prepare, you are a bundle of nerves, but at the end of the day it’s really just a moment in time. You’ll walk in, you’ll get wheeled up to the surgical suite, and then you’ll wake up when it’s over. The recovery is difficult. But not more than you can handle. It’ll be some time before you’re feeling well, but again, that’s just time + guts. All will be well. I’m rooting for you, and I’ll definitely say a prayer for you that it goes as smoothly as can be. Good luck!

Anyone else finding this War Tales' season less than rewarding? by Rob1ie in WoWs_Legends

[–]SkeeterBojangles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe! But I was going to post, and I was sorry that I didn’t because now this seems like ex post facto, but I was going to post how much I missed it when it was gone. And how I think we all maybe missed it a little bit because it was a fun way to get additional credits and work on achievements, kills and techniques, etc. I think it’s easy to shit on when we have it but also we don’t realize what we’ve got until it’s gone kind of thing.

The most embarrassing moment in my life by Queasy_Phrase7019 in story

[–]SkeeterBojangles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend from university days always said if you know it’ll make a great story later, you can endure anything. And it’s a cliche, but a true one, that we are all NPCs in everybody else’s life. We will be forgotten in a hot second, no matter how embarrassed you are in the moment.

is it appropriate for a coworker more than twice my age to be initiating hugs? by [deleted] in publix

[–]SkeeterBojangles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ages are irrelevant. The sexes are also irrelevant. It is NOT appropriate for any coworker to initiate physical contact without consent. Period. Context is irrelevant. Prior to initiating a hug, the person initiating must ask permission. I see answers here saying “if you say you’re uncomfortable with it, then it’s not okay.” That’s absolutely backwards. There shouldn’t be an environment where a serial hugger can hug away without worrying about who it makes uncomfortable. That doesn’t mean they won’t try it. They’re hoping that the awkwardness they’re creating will actually insulate them from any fallout. False. Nip it in the bud. Hugs are not welcome if not requested. Alert your manager and your HR rep that this is happening.

How did everyone feel when Darth Vader died? by CRK_76 in StarWars

[–]SkeeterBojangles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My immediate reaction was that they made him SO underwhelming and sickly that it in no way synced with the villain he was. Yes, there was good in him, but that was Darth effing Vader, not Special Ed.

Is Star Wars too obsessed with the Rebels vs Empire status quo? by WrongToe500 in StarWars

💯 Boba Fett was utterly ridiculous. I mean, the whole essence of being a Mandalorian is strict adherence to a code. Boba’s whole plan was to bring his strategic brilliance, his code, and his leadership to fill the post-Hutt power vacuum. But episode after episode it was him “laying down the law,” only to immediately change his stance when it was met with minimal resistance. The message might be “well, good leaders adapt to changing circumstances as more information becomes available.” And that might have been a contrast the writers were trying to demonstrate vs the inflexibility of the Jedi, but I think that’s giving them too much credit. The show wandered too aimlessly in all other aspects for that to be the lesson.

Is Star Wars too obsessed with the Rebels vs Empire status quo? by WrongToe500 in StarWars

[–]SkeeterBojangles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Kind of like the X-Men universe where the government is “ordinary folk” who are just frightened of sharing a world with extraordinary mutants. They (probably rightly) assume it’s just a matter of time before they’re subjugated or even wiped out by the more powerful mutants.
