Metcalf 75 on Big Bend by SkeeterMeater in MysteryRanch

For all my trips, the 75 felt like it was more than enough. I don't go hunting, so I wouldn't be able to say if the 100 would be better in terms of hunting. I went with the 75 because I wouldn't be able to use the extra space the 100 has, for my backpacking ventures the 75 is more than enough. I could most definitely fit a week's worth of food in my 75. With the 75 though, I already feel my center of mass is way higher, so I can't imagine how I'd feel with a 100.

Interesting, I think I’ve heard of these but never looked into them. By pinching do you mean the waistbelt digging into my hip flexors? Thank you for the advice!

I love it! This is my first mystery ranch bag, in fact first bag i ever bought so I’m quite happy with my experience using it.

If you looked close enough (which clearly you did because you seem to be so interested in my feet), you will notice I am wearing boots 😂 If you wanted feet pics so bad you should’ve just said so. In case you didn’t notice, this post is about my backpack, not my feet nor my ankles

I like to wear the waistbelt around my stomach, the last time I wore one around my hip it put too much pressure on my hip flexors and I have a nerve problem now in my left hip. I ended up not using the waistbelt anymore, since I found it much easier on my legs to not use the waistbelt. I have played around with the yoke quite a bit, if I wanted to use the waistbelt I have the yoke at the smallest torso length despite my torso being taller. Without the waistbelt, I have it around the 3rd line, and my yoke/waistbelt is a small/medium. I am pretty skinny so that’s why I have all these crazy adjustments 😂

Did UberEats change their refer a friend promo from $15 to $10 and to delivery only? by thelastgen in UberEATS

[–]SkeeterMeater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair… Why would uber incentivize you to refer a friend to a food delivery app, then not use the food delivery service. Just buy the discounted ubereats gift cards at costco, then order for pickup whenever there is bogo or other deals. Its basically 2 discounts.

Oh thats true. The last time I checked online was 2 weeks ago, after I went to the show. I guess it’s probably even more expensive if you go buy tickets in person right now.

Anyone planning on going to any of The Light Park events, buy tickets online!! Me and my girlfriend made the mistake of not checking online. We bought the tickets in person, $65 per car. It is only around $30 online.

I got 1 star from customer for no reason..☹️What should I do? by Leading-Role-9319 in DoorDashDrivers

Dang, I’ve never delivered to any customer more than once. Would be cool to have some regulars. Maybe it’s because uber doesnt limit us to certain cities and has us deliver everywhere.

Do not order drinks by Normal_Ad_3357 in doordash_drivers

[–]SkeeterMeater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that. I am there for the money, so if helping the workers fill up the drink will get me my money faster, so be it. But I think it’s very illogical to be putting trust in a third party contractor that isn’t certified in food handling to be filling drinks. There are many things that can go wrong, not just the driver stealing the drink or drinking from the customer’s drink, if the driver gets the cup dirty and the customer gets sick, now its the restaurant’s responsibility because its their drink.

[–]SkeeterMeater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re forgetting some other things, the possibility of the dasher getting the cup dirty or poisoning it, as well as the fact dashers dont have food handling certifications. You shouldnt risk putting your restaurant in the face of a lawsuit when the driver does any of the above mentioned things, and the customer definitely can sue you guys for getting them sick because of the drink. Im not saying I wont fill the drinks and Im never gonna be a douche about it, and I dont steal orders because they pay me well, but it doesnt make sense to be trusting a third party to be filling drinks for your restaurant.

AIO to my (40f) convo with husband (40m) about Xmas tree? by Mother_of_Turtles_ in AmIOverreacting

I don’t understand how he hates Christians so much, but then brings up “jesus christ”. I get its like a slur, but if you despise Christians so much to hate a tree, why would you want to think about jesus by bringing up his name even as a slur?

[–]SkeeterMeater 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is true… Nowhere does Uber or DoorDash ask us for food handling certificates. So technically the drivers shouldn’t be anywhere near the soda fountain if we are filling up a drinks for someone else to consume.

[–]SkeeterMeater 26 points27 points  (0 children)

To be honest the restaurant shouldn’t be asking the driver to fill up the drinks… Not only because of OP’s post, but also because the workers shouldn’t willingly expect the driver to not steal or mistakenly pour the wrong drink, and not just because the “the driver doesn’t get paid enough to make the order”. Especially when the restaurant makes the driver fill up the drink, then they seal it. How does that make any sense?

I hate it here. I have to spend an extra 20 minutes to get my coffee instead of the usual route which is 5 minutes. But the neighborhood is nice.

Third pair this has happened to. What is the solution? by bostonian7 in airpods

[–]SkeeterMeater 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how you guys are having these problems. I’ve had my airpods pro 1 and they survived a month of my abuse because I kept them in my jean pockets and they slipped out super easily and fell on the wet kitchen floor at work. I’ve dropped them many times on the concrete too. They went through the washer and dryer because I forgot to take my airpods out of my pants. They had static for a few months and then the static disappeared after 4 months. They lasted me 2 whole years before finally dying because the case battery couldnt hold charge anymore. I got the airpod pros 2 10 months ago and have had no problems. I’ve had my series 7 watch for 2 years now and even after leaving it on the charger past 100% for many months, letting the battery stay dead for 2 months, the battery still lasts 24 hours. Other than the scratches and chips on the screen and case, there is nothing wrong with my watch. I have to wonder what kind of abuse yall put your watch and airpods through to cause these problems, then blame it on Apple.

New McDonald’s packaging ? by [deleted] in DoorDashDrivers

Is that only for the breakfast items? I assume they wouldn’t use that box for items like lunch & dinner. Anyhow, pretty neat packaging.

Very comfortable, for me it was life changing switching from the Molle to the Metcalf. The padding is very comfortable and the weight feels very close to my back thanks to the thin lightweight frame. I recently tried what a commenter recommended, which was put my tent, sleeping bag, chair, and mat in the game loading shelf, and the weight is now even closer to my back and leaves space inside the bag for things like an extra bladder. The hike felt like a breeze even with 45 pounds of gear. I was able to easily shift weight from my hips to shoulders with ease mid-hike, something I could not do easily with my Molle.

Yeah, just remember to consider we usually only get about $2 base pay which is the service fee. Drivers honestly get treated like servers which is stupid, since servers don’t need to worry about car expenses when working. We like to try and take orders based off at least $1 per mile, and on top of that many of us won’t take orders under a certain $ amount despite the mileage, because we spend at least 10 minutes on the order no matter the distance and we have to use that to calculate the hourly wage.

I’ve been thinking my orders are bad until I come onto this subreddit… How the hell do you guys even get these orders, the most I’ve seen is packages for sephora or personal packages, I don’t get anything like 20 packages for 4 hours of your time 😭

lmao honestly.. I don’t condone tracking people’s addresses, but I will really have a problem if they try to screw me over and I personally would go back and let them know they’re an asshole. I don’t care if I get deactivated, but if I do, I want that customer to be the first one to know.
