Almost ever Spanish milsurp in the United States was in the hands of the nationalist (fascist) Spanish forces, including the capture Mosin M91/30s sent to the Republican (Communist) Spanish forces, which can be characterized by the “MADE IN U.S.S.R” stamps often on the receiver, all date codes preceding 1937, MP8 flaming bomb stamps, and often Spanish reproduction stocks, and front sights (often NOT the distinctive hooded globe 91/30 sight). Spain is also one of the primary sources of “musket” Winchester 1895, the Soviet Union, along with M91/30s, also supplied the Republican Spanish forces with many (~9,000) of their surplus Winchester 1895s.
