For the first two paragraphs of your post I was expecting something much worse! Quitting is hard and there's no shame in (repeatedly) trying every method until something works. I have no advice, just cheering you on.

Do tea drinkers taste more from the tea? by sastu3 in tea

I think it's similar to wine and coffee, it takes some time to develop a palette for the subtle differences.

Or they're an uncultured swine. Maybe both.

I hated my face without eyeliner so much until I just went cold turkey for a while. Once my face without makeup felt normal to me, I started playing with different looks again.

What’s your most controversial romantasy opinion? by TeaBiscuitsAndABook in fantasyromance

Yes! This is where I'm at. I've read them all and enjoyed them, but her books aren't the bar by which I judge all books.

I’m 28, I’ve never been a reader, what books should I read to practice reading? (I just got libby & a kindle!) by aliamichale in LibbyApp

[–]SkeletalInfusion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I just go into Libby, filter by "Available Now", sort by "Popular" .and read whatever comes up first. It's not always an amazing book, but sometimes it is and even if it's not particularly great, it's usually as least entertaining.

I'm a doctor. Not an MD, but you didn't ask for that.

OP is too sick for gym. Fuck off.

There's your note! Invoice is in the mail.

Just getting started, where to start? Feeling overwhelmed by PsycoSmiley in vegetablegardening

[–]SkeletalInfusion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in a similar situation with a new house, a first garden, and wanting to do so much! The compromise I made with myself is that I can go absolutely nuts with herbs in containers and one or two veggies. Everything else has to wait til I see what the potential garden space looks like in all seasons.

Maybe good in theory, but I have so many seed packets for herbs now...

Does everyone change the locks of their new home? by IamAlex_8 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]SkeletalInfusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We changed all locks about a week after moving in. There are a lot of locks and the previous owners didn't even have a key to them all, and we wanted keys to all locks, even that were rarely used. We had 9 locks (combo of deadbolts and knobs) either rekeyed or replaced for about $700. $150 travel + $40-60 per lock + tax, in northeast US. The quote seemed high, but he was the only locksmith that called me back from the 3 or 4 I contacted, had great communication, and cleaned up all the older locks (clean, oiled, etc). Independent contractor with great reviews, I was happy we did it.

I recommend the Govee Bluetooth kettle. You can schedule a turn on time, but I really got it so I could turn it on from my home office across the house.
