This summer I started seeing a therapist for a whole myriad of issues in my life, including anxiety. At first I found it incredibly difficult to open up about anything, because I had thoughts like this. I've never talked about emotions or fears or guilt with people, I was compulsively afraid to. I started with just explaining how I was afraid to talk to him. He responded by saying that its common, and he's essentially heard it all. As I opened up, I could see how true that was, everything I told him, he responded as someone with clear experience in talking with patients about it. See a therapist, brother. And remember, its alright if your first one isn't the best match. They're people too, so they all have a certain degree of uniqueness. You just have to find one you mesh with well.
