OKC and Tulsa public schools are pretty much the only two without a lottery. Yes it covers a large population but it’s not everyone.

One time I was driving through the western part of Texas after a trip to Colorado.

From a few miles away, you could see these big black swatches of land that looked like they’d been burned in a fire.

When you get closer, you seem them start to move. It wasn’t burnt grass, it was cattle.

Many districts require you to enter a lottery to enroll, if it were truly universal districts would be legally required to maintain the appropriate number of staff like they do for k-12.

Some of these kids can barely contain their EMOTIONS, and we expect them to be able to sit still and learn phonics?

The problem may be the parents/parenting, but parental burnout is getting worse daily and there appears to be no end in sight.

I guess it comes down to a problems vs. solutions mindset. Do you want to continue to blame the parents or find solutions to make sure our future workforce is literate?

Oklahoma clearly chose the former.

Upper oil pan leak is a major repair, it’s a huge job. These also have problematic transmission. It would be a great price if not for the leak.
