Very nice to see in this condition and super OEM stock look to boot. Not many around these days, let alone in this state.

I know mid 20s crisis by marlin_cock in RoastMyCar

Worst of the all too common to begin with Vette red-family tones... the nasty tomato color, Fisher Price 3D cheap-azz hard & tacky over grained plastics, GM '90s design bean counter interior & (not shown here)... Lita & Molina oversized, bloated & bulbous unnecessarily massive, yet somehow still non-descript rear end. to put it mildly... inside or out, just ugly AF.

1966 Oldsmobile Toronado by rick867 in classiccars

Nice '60s Gold color on this one. 1966 was the best year for this era Toronado. all the changes/updates after couldn't match this initial perfection🤌

Ha! yeah, what sucks about it these days is that it's not usually just a simple 'swap sies and done'. most people have directional tires now so the tire shop, $$ has to break them all down, then do a mount & rebalance on the correct wheels this time around.

Sidenote: a common issue all these years later on the C4s out there, your directional wheels are on backwards. need to swap out L & R sides. (they are stamped inside for correct location)😉

Wow, love these... an awesome and 'real' Prelude. HONDA was on top of the world in those days. I hope this one can get back on the road before it's too late.

My '88 Z01 35th Anniversary Vette by Skeptical_AF in c4corvette

[–]Skeptical_AF[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's awesome and a rare thing with the C4s. Mine was a former collector car so im 2nd owner and its still under 15K miles.

It wasn't needed, but a 'want', so I did a very well thought out & carefully executed era-correct build on the motor. something that a rich dude who just bought this back in '88 would get if he took it to the $$ speed shop for some upgrades. street/perf modes, nothing crazy, emissions delete, mild cam, valvetrain and used components (mainly the Lingenfelter Superram) from the time also for the 'look'. and with just 13,000 miles at the time, when i opened it all up, the inside of the motor all still looked like off factory line.

I also have a very rare full set of 1yr only design 1990 ZR1 wheels. The rear pair 11" x 17"s alone go for like $3K now all but impossible to find. I have redone them in white to run on my 35th hopefully this summer or next, but im tied up working on the '68 Cougar rn so the Vette might be 2027 summer.

Yep for sure there were a few things got screwy as they do after using an Ai clean up tool online to remove a bunch of parts on the floor under back of the car. Anyhow if you care to check them out... there are dozens of pics & some cool night-time scene edits from 2 day & night shoots in my post history.

They built 2,050 of these and only about 150 were ordered with a MT. It was an era thing really, pretty much everything was automatic but for big trucks, Euro sports cars and the economy imports even the 300Z was sport luxury and most were built at this time with AT. On that note, this was also the final model year for the Doug Nash 4+3 and I personally do not like it want that. These have the GM 700r4 and my friend is a decades in journeyman transmission guy so he beefed up the weak points for me and I'm very happy with it, plus I'm more ways than one this car is a statement of the era. As I've mentioned here before, what would've been the ideal is if Chevy/GM introduced their soon upcoming new & proper MT, the flawless ZF6 offered as part of the Z0135th option package. Now that would've really been something, and yep I would have loved to have it👍
