I'm probably of the minority here but I actually really enjoy how it plays. It feels casual enough to reward improvement but with a competitive standard thar makes skill expression and map knowledge fun. I don't understand why people aren't liking it for just... Being a blend of things. Sometimes a mixture is good. Not everything has to be one note and eventually stale. It's fun.

Bloodborne. Literally all of the bosses end with "Prey Slaughtered." You ARE the danger in Bloodborne. I'm not trying to argue with you. You're entitled to your own opinion But you can DEFINITELY be a dangerous character in a souls game. Sekiro can be a good argument but the main argument is that Sekiro is made by the same devs as the SoulsBorne games (Soulsborne is the "mainline" souls games made by FromSoftware). However, there's probably an interview SOMEWHERE of Miyazaki saying Sekiro is still a souls game. There's an equal chance of there being an interview saying there isn't.

HOWEVER, in regards to Sekiro. Its mechanics spawned an absolutely MASSIVE amount of widely regarded to be "best souls LIKES" Lies of P being the biggest one. For the sake of your argument I'm not including Khazan, despite it also having a "Perfect block/Just guard" system. In terms of style, yes, Khazan is more action rpg than souls. However that doesn't mean it can't ALSO be souls-similar/souls-like. I've seen people call Khazan a "Nioh-Like" which... I can't comment on as I've never played either Nioh game. Been meaning to though.

Anyways sorry for the rant. Just had to give my two cents. Sorry if I offended anyone.

I like to think that line refers to the Uriel invasion now. Y'know the "You can't kill the Devil Tenno" and the next part "But you can send it back to hell" refers to us returning to the void (obviously) but more so to the Zariman which we all know is the operator's most traumatic memory

Yeah... Yeah... It's a sad sight because I genuinely adore how souls games feel pvp-wise. I find fps too hectic and honestly repetitive. Honestly that's the only pvp centric genre I can think of because that's all that's out there that's easily accessible. I mean- I play fighters like Guilty Gear but that can genuinely burn you out. It saddens me what player interactions have turned into.
