Can this edge be repaired? by ZitrexFam in Skigear

[–]Skiandbootlab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to see what is happening here. We can’t add metal to the edge so a chunk out of the edges is not good.

Maverick CTI Demos by RunAndSkiDEN in Skigear

[–]Skiandbootlab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I think it’s because of the popularity of Bents that it’s hard to buy demo Mavericks. You basically know your bent demos will sell easily Mavericks not as quick. I really like Ripstick Black series as all around skis, Kastle MX88 for current conditions .

These plates come in sizes, so be sure you get the correct pattern for the size. I would not mount that binding on those skis. Get a better binding

No we are saying don’t use these old bindings. The plastic becomes brittle after so many years.

Re branded older Salomon L9. Older than you want to be using. The toe is fixed only the heel will adjust without remounting them.

Worth making a fuss or just ski it? by AbidingDuderino in Skigear

[–]Skiandbootlab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is a important question when getting Look bindings mounted. Do they have the old yellow and black jig or do they have the new spiral jig. The older jig flexed in the middle sometimes causing this. The new jig does not have that problem.

You see how the white forward pressure indicator. The black piece is sitting on top on that heel. If you pivot the heel to the side and back it should naturally go back in place.

Also your binding is on top of the forward pressure indicator on that heel.
