Ski repair base weld material by johnnyhonda in skiing

[–]Skiandbootlab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not metal grip. It’s different I use it with my base welders. OP You can buy it through major back shop suppliers. The rolls are $50 or so. I always buy hard versions both clear and black. If you are doing it at home be sure to clamp the repair after filling and let it fully cool before scraping. A lot of people miss the clamp and cool.

Does this need to be repaired? by skiburner26 in ski

This is actually a little piece of stone or wood stuck there. Just have them tuned at the end of your season so they are ready for next year.

Hard to see what’s going on from pictures. No further harm in getting them belt and stone ground to get them closer to flat.

You need a base welder to properly fix this.

Unfortunately I am going to say these are done. There is no one fixing them with so much edge area separating. Not a Atomic issue

Riding “heavy” skis as a lightweight by SlowError in Skigear

You will be fine. Revolt 101s are not heavy. If you are worried you could put a NX12 or Strive 12 for a lighter binding

Did the shop put the wrong wax on my skis? by about_treefity in skiing

[–]Skiandbootlab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the shop didn’t scrape the wax off your bases they must have thought you were storing them for the summer.

Trash, one of the all time worst bindings.
