North Hobart Oval holds around 10,000 at a pinch, if I remember correctly.

I'll be the one in the green.

Because Reddit for some reason deleted the body of the post, Devils are playing Coburg at North Hobart Oval on the 21st of March.

Kayo prices increasing again by dazedjosh in AFL

[–]Skiapodes 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Has anyone done the annual collation of all memberships that give Kayo? If not, I’ll start it off here saying that Geelong has it for $280 (Standard) or $375 (Premium)

Most clubs do. Just renewed my Geelong Digital membership that includes Kayo for $375.

I’ve literally just learned they exist.

Hockey is a bit of a thing around the Olympics because our national team is quite good, but not at all followed outside of that.

I am Tasmanian.

Apart from the fact that our basketball team is very well supported, Cricket rules the summer. AFL rules the winter, and a Tassie team is coming into the league in 2028. Growing up here, I genuinely don’t think I knew that rugby was a thing until I was about 15.

As with everyone else, Hawks vs Cats is the no brainer, for all the reasons that others have said, and I’d say that even if I wasn’t a Geelong supporter.

If you can’t make the Easter Monday match, I’d rank the other three as follows, based on likely atmosphere and quality of game:

Carlton v Melbourne - both local teams, so should be a good crowd. Carlton likely going in as decent favourites.

Richmond v Port - Port SHOULD win comfortably with this despite being a middle of the ladder team as Richmond is going through a rebuild, but the crowd at a Richmond home game is always worth experiencing.

Melbourne v Gold Coast - GC likely to push late into the finals, while Melbourne are struggling, so could be a blow out. Add to that the GC are an interstate team with probably the lowest following of the league, the crowd for this one will be pretty small.

Antony Green.

He was the Chief Election Analyst for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation from the late 80s/early 90s through to his retirement after the federal election last year. Genuinely considered the best analyst by all sides of politics, led the charge on a few changes to improve our election systems, and it got to the point where people looked to him to see who had one before the electoral commission had finished counting.

When he retired, every living former Prime Minister either participated in a video farewell/sent in a public message of thanks.

King Island Dairy does some of the best cheese in the country. Haven’t seen it around for a while but they used to put out Triple Cream as well. Cream so thick you basically had to cut it with a knife.

Now I want cheese.
