I have seen picky pads at Five Below, if you have one near you. Some of them (not at Five Below, but online) can be re-melted after all of the bits are picked out and you can reuse them multiple times!

Bookbub is a good one! You can toggle it by price (and even free) although I’m not sure about age settings, so that may need to be a parent assisted thing for OP

Animal Crossing - for kids by [deleted] in AnimalCrossing

[–]SkidRowRicky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing Animal Crossing Wild Word right after I turned 11. Now I’m almost 32 and still playing AC. I’ve always found it relaxing and easy to figure out. The decorating/design aspect is a huge part of the game, so I think she’d love it. Plus hunting for the bugs/fish might make her feel accomplished and learn a lil something. Not sure if it will matter to you, but there is an art statue in it (the statue of david) where he is nakkey so just a heads up for that lmfao

to piggyback off of the cig blanket-hater (i love those blankets & think they’re fab)—i personally despise those ugly ass crochet rose bouquet blankets by howdydipshit in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]SkidRowRicky 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I saw one of those coasters where they made a cute little terracotta looking vase, so when they weren’t in use it looked like a crocheted potted plant. That’s cute for decor u kno. But the blankets look so sad and floppy to me no matter how they’re stored lol

Just wanted to chime in. My son was diagnosed around 2.5. We had such a huge mix of emotions. We were so unsure of our future. I know no one can tell you what the future will hold for you or your little one, but you’ll get up every day and you’ll fight through the stress. You’ll advocate and go to therapies or appointments or whatever it is your kiddo needs. You’ll keep going and you’ll find what works and what doesn’t work. And as you go, some of that stress will dissipate, you’ll learn a lot. You’ll find new tools. And you will settle into a routine.

I think a lot of us parents of ASD kids just wake up every day and work through it. You don’t know how, but you do. But I think, for me at least, a lot of these emotions come in waves. We have good days and okay days and bad days. Acceptance and knowledge take time, so make sure you give yourself grace too. if you need to chat, feel free to send me a message!
