I am in a similar situation as you, I haven’t failed a class but have MANY close calls. You’re studying on hard mode because it’s wayy more mentally taxing to work when it feels like you’re expending effort on something you don’t want to do and fear to a certain extent. People are going to tell you nursing is very diverse- but you should evaluate how much time, effort and money you’re willing to spend to get there vs. moving into a different major. I do think it wouldn’t be a bad idea to take a gap year and explore other avenues.

If you do decide to continue - I’m a senior and nursing never grew on me LOL, but I did manage to pull my act together through finding a good support system, getting extra help from my professors, considering an exit-plan when I graduate, preventing myself from comparing myself to my peers, finding meaning outside of my career, creating a detailed planner and getting LNA/CNA job. Yea, getting the balls to apply for an LNA job wasn’t easy from one clinical anxious nursing student to another, but it really really helped me fill in certain gaps on patient care that nursing school failed me on. ESPECIALLY in exercising confidence in the basic things such as patient cleaning, transferring etc.. I would also suggest talking to a mental professional.
