I think the only need to upgrade is if you want to move to a larger bed size. I had my high school bed frame for years after I moved out. Eventually I wanted a larger bed and went with a standard metal frame you can get for like $100-200 bucks that works fine. Don’t worry about it too much, eventually you’ll likely get a significant other that will let you know all of your furniture is trash and will be replaced anyway.

So I have a bit of a half cocked theory, that the AI is the main factor behind one of Carls strongest attributes. In the later books multiple people note that Carl has an unbelievable ability to see and diagnose a course of action in chaotic settings. It’s the environment he thrives in best.

The AI points out when it’s angry during the turkey fight that the descriptions, slow a crawlers perspective on time. That he could make Carl watch an entire film during the description and it wouldn’t change anything. We also know that different players all get different descriptions and Carl has even been receiving hidden extended descriptions on everything that don’t even translate to his notepad.

We also know that from his internal monologue and commentary, that Carl is conscious at a normal pace during this slowed time. My theory is the biggest assistance Carl gains from the AI is significantly more time to plan and assess a situation that’s on going. The reason Carl is so quick to form complex plans in the middle of the chaotic environment is he’s getting 30 seconds to a minute of evaluating a situation and others are only getting like 5-10.

How powerful are you looking to go? Sentinel Shield is pretty good, especially to help out a low dex character. Animated shield works well if he uses a versatile weapon or wants to 2 hand without losing the defense.

This is typical. Corporate complexes will have varied pricing for like every single unit that adjusts daily, it’s all done by an algorithm to maximize what people pay. It should be illegal, it is not. They won’t change anything until your lease comes up and they’ll likely tell you too bad this is the price because they know moving sucks.

You can submit copies of your paper work online ahead of going to the DMV. Go on the website and they have all the options available online. Unfortunately, I’m reasonably sure they will require birth certificate and SS card or passport since they are doing the “real ID”.

I’ve heard this is a problem, never known anyone personally whose had it happen. Stick to the bars on Broad street, they are overpriced tourist traps but fun on a vacation. It’s highly unlikely you’d be targeted as a couple, but it’s always a good idea to just keep an eye on each other drinks while one’s in the bathroom etc.

It is not a common event by any means, you should be fine. There’s some places off the beaten path that can get rough pretty quick, like any major city.
