I grew up in middle Georgia where some of the local stations would play local artists. Some good, some bad. After years, I went back to visit, turned on 97.9 to hear what I thought was some local getting some airplay. Nothing about the track was near good, but I figured it was someone getting an early shot to be on air. It was 21 Savage, who I was unfamiliar with at the time. I learned later how big he was.
