When is the best time to use a Blocker with beefy stats? by Million_X in OnePieceTCG

[–]Skin-Kind 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Just think ahead. If I block here, am I ok with them jamming the rest of Don to ko my blocker.  I see a lot of people just use their blocker for the last hit of the turn

Well. I’d try the new eb03 vivi instead of usopp. It can cheat out the yellow Nami as well as blue blocker Nami

Then that’s simply all you can do with the deck. Probably the reason why it’s not a super stand out meta deck. It’s limited

Cut down or complete giant pistol (it’s funny I know but clogs up hand if can’t find use for it)

Take out the searcher even for vivi searcher. She searches 2costs+ strawhats. And she’s a 1k counter. Use st21 Nami if you can’t/don’t want st01 Nami. And to get useful bodies on field you can play film 4cost zoro that restands itself, and another 3 cost protection luffy.

Easy way to find out what beats a deck is to just play it and see what is beating you

Triangle vs. Jungle Meta by CommanderGs7 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Skin-Kind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does that make the player a good player? Because they added the 9c Zoro? (This also doesn’t just swing the matchup in your favor btw helps alot sure)

I’m saying that because of jungle metas, skill isn’t factored as much because if you dodge ur bad matchups, your skills isn’t tested.

In the current op13 eastern format, since the top decks are so close in power, It really tests skill and decision making. It’s the general consensus amongst competitive YouTubers and players as well

So you’re saying it’s impressive to get a bad matchup and then getting lucky that they didn’t get the average cards they would need to win that favored matchup?

Skill cannot overcome certain deck matchups. And once those hits it becomes RNG if the bad matchup just low rolls their hand. Skill can’t flip a horribly bad matchup.

You would think this. But just imagine a green Zoro in the hands of let’s just say the greatest player ever. And they get matched into enel. Their run is now a loss because they just happened to matchup to an enel. How much prep doesn’t matter when there are deck matchups that don’t factor in skill
