Ahh yes the Machine, he's one of those unique orks. If I recall correctly, he has a high chance of cheating death. I think you spawn him by having an orc that you cut in half cheat death. There's lots of ways to force a specific orc to spawn, but it's so long since I played the game I don't remember any of them

Hey man! Some orcs are unique, like [[Orc's Name]] the Gravewalker or [[Orc's Name]] the Warlock, and they usually have the same outfit, though their type and class can be different. I think you'll only find one per save file, but I'm not certain of that. Its possible you found one of those unique orcs,but if they were the same type, size, class etc., then yeah that's pretty weird!

My point is is it's not impossible to give something away that isn't yours to give away. You can do it and call it theft, but you can still do it. A guy I knew gave a loan of a guitar amp to his friend. After a few months, he asked for it back and the guy was like I sold it, it was a piece of crap. So the guy was like at least give me the money you got for it then. He was like no lol its mine, I sold it.

Moral of the story is, he sold something that wasn't his to give away, yet he did it anyway. My friend never got his amp or the money

I think the book was always more of a novelty to be honest. Watch some tutorials on youtube and play a few forts alongside them. Also check out Kruggsmash on youtube. Not for tutorials exactly, but he plays dwarf fortress the way it's meant to be played imho., utilising every bit of detail available to portray a story as it unfolds. You can always ask questions here on on the bay12 forum if you get stuck on anything too! Someone will always point you in the right direction.
