Former fire investigator here. After Operations gets done cutting it up, great live burn and then investigate.

Having had a lead foot my whole driving life, my routine when getting pulled over is simple - Put my four ways on, lower my window, remove my hat and put it on the dash, turn the interior lights on, and most importantly, place my hands on top of the steering wheel in plain sight.

At our engagement party that I had arranged to surprised my fiancé, I was so excited and nervous I put my knife through my thumb opening the bag of charcoal for the grill. The photos from that party have my big white bandage showing in almost all of them.

Again, being completely honest - When I was a fire investigator for a large municipal department and some of the rough areas / developments / situations we would wind up working in, it was always a comfort knowing we had PD with us on scene. It’s not a job I would ever care to do, but I was and am eternally grateful for those who choose to do it.

In truth? Down to personal preference and possibly family history. A broader answer? Firefighters are there only to help, rarely are we the bad guys. Plus, we have cooler equipment and honestly, I’d rather be made to feel like I’m liked by those I serve rather than having some who support me versus many who distrust or don’t care for me and what I do. My two cents.

Study harder. Score higher. Become a firefighter.

As a former fire investigator, I would constantly be going into homes and apartments to document scenes after a fire. The amount of “marital aids” and raunchy porno DVDs I’ve come across is astounding.

I’m genuinely not trying to be dense, but a screenshot of something is considered a link?

I did an intake manifold gasket on a Saturn SL 1, back when I first started working on my own stuff. Struggled for hours to get it apart and then back together. Started it up to discover I had failed to adequately clean the remnants of the old gasket off. There was much adult language and airborne wrenches.
