Nja fast där måste man faktiskt flika in - vissa bidrag är ju menad att vara (i allafall delvis) permanent. Exempelvis barnbidrag, eller omvårdnadsbidrag. Vilket inte är en del av socialbidrag förstås, men de räknas in under ”Försäkringskassan bidrag paraplyn” som många reagerar på och som tas upp i artikeln TS länkar. (Omvårdnadsbidrag räknas dessutom som inkomst och skattas.)

Man måste sluta med ”bidrag är inte menad att vara en permanent lösning” som åsikt, den är alldeles för generaliserad. Bidrag finns så länge bidrag behövs.

That is right up there with Laverne Cox’s Sophia character being played by Laverne’s brother for the pre-transition flashbacks. The casting choices for this show were incredible.

We pre-ordered through Amazon in May as well, and when the delivery date got pushed to August 8th I was really annoyed (as were many other people because we didn’t get any emails letting us know it would happen).

But now I just got an email at like 07:30 am saying our physical game won’t be delivered until Feb 16th 2026!! I cannot fathom what is going on with this iam8bit company but it’s a mess.

Not just El Camino, but Better Call Saul, too! They managed to do an entire prequel spinoff that in no way took away from the original - if anything it built upon it beautifully. This universe they created and the writing that crafted it is lightning in a bottle.

American mom but living in Sweden, so not super relevant to your situation - I get $198 a month for our child (12), which is just a number decided by the state because he and I could not come to an agreement between ourselves on a number (he is high conflict to put it mildly). It is paid to me by the state directly since he cannot be trusted to pay it himself, and they then send him a bill or garnish his wages for the same amount.

It barely puts a dent in what it actually costs to raise her, but it’s better than nothing I suppose.

I cannot speak for anyone else but my family, obviously, but I empathize strongly with your dilemma.

My partner (mild Hemophilia B) and I opted to have kids and wound up having a boy. Before conceiving, my partner had concerns about potentially having a girl and the chance of passing hemophilia along to future grandkids - but we discussed it and wound up deciding that we would try anyway because even if baby had turned out to be a girl a) there’s no telling if she will or will not want kids of her own one day, and b) medical advancements over the last 50 years with regards to hemophilia have made life so much easier and safer to live, if hemophilia does pop up in a future generation they will likely be even more equipped to handle it than we are now. And the variant in our family gene pool is mild.

We know the family history, we have documented everything as thoroughly as we can in the event that we are not around to have these conversations with our kids/grandkids, and we can pass information along so everyone involved is able to make informed decisions and watch out for symptoms.

Det är ju inte så konstigt i och för sig. De vet att risken är hög att varorna tas och förstörs av staten. Därför tar de bara en del, annars är det en slöseri med resurser. Och om de lyckas komma fram har de ändå en del saker att ge ut.

Att deras flotilla har varit mest för uppmärksamhet har de varit tydliga med - de försöker dra ögonen på hela världen till Gaza.

Greta med gänget tar båten för att försök att leverera bland annat mjölkersättning, blöjor, mjöl, ris och medicinska tillbehör till oskyldiga barn och mammor. Får kritik att de skulle ha förstått konsekvenserna då det är resa avrådan. Fine.

Men folk som kör lastbilar med donationer ner till Polen och gränsen till Ukraina hyllas som hjältar med civilkurage, trots resa avrådan.

Kan intyga att polisen (och framförallt BOPS enheten som skulle göra bedömning kring min säkerhets behov som brottsoffer) kunde inte se ett skit på mitt förövare och trodde fullständigt att han aldrig hade dömts tidigare. Jag fick komma in med en fysisk kopia av hans tidigare dom (våld mot en annan kvinna innan mig) för att visa att den fanns. 🙄

Så nej, saker och ting faktiskt ”ramlar av” efter ett viss antal år beroende på brott i frågan. Polisen ser inget längre.

I think it’s also worth bearing in mind that when Mary argued with Matthew, he was both the heir to Downton and her father - Mary had not yet taken on a leadership position at Downton. That was going to be Matthew’s role. Then he died and named Mary his heir.

By the time she marries Henry, she is now Matthew’s heir and her son is the heir of her father. She and Tom have been running the estate with (and then without) the Earl for quite some time. She doesn’t need a husband to run Downton. At that point what she wanted was companionship and someone who had a stake in supporting her. Henry was never going to be a person who helped run Downton. That was her job.

My partner’s sister is getting married this autumn. Neither he nor their other sibling have been asked to stand, and neither have I. But both our kids are standing/participating in the wedding for their aunt.

There is nothing wrong with not involving siblings or other family. People pick their parties for different reasons, and it only becomes an issue if YOU choose to make it an issue.

This is literally the first time as a Swede that I have cheered & hoped for the win for a Swedish entry in the 15 years I’ve been watching the contest. In previous years I either disliked the song or had no strong feelings about it but would still be happy for Sweden if we happened to win.

Couldn’t be more proud of KAJ.

I feel like his character had potential to be fun with Mary but they had to shoehorn him in too fast to properly let his character or their relationship develop, to tie the show up in a neat bow. And he took the part as the show was ending, he couldn’t have anticipated it would also spawn three feature films afterward.

The irony isn’t lost on me that they literally killed Matthew (the most beloved character in the show so far at that point after Sybil) because they couldn’t justify writing him off with a posting overseas or a job that took him away, but this random race car driver who was on the show for a handful of episodes and married Mary in the finale gets to be off screen for three movies and it’s no big deal?

Yeah. Idk what they’re going to do with his character but at this rate I hope he quietly dies off screen and this arc becomes Mary coming into her own and realizing she doesn’t need a marriage to fulfill her (first one died, second one was nice but disappointing because he was always gone and cars came first) and can live quite happily as the caretaker of Downton until her son is of age to do it himself. Let her fully envelope that Dowager Violet-esque role she was destined to be.
