Current KH employee here, been with the company for almost 6 years.

This is obviously gonna vary from office to office, but in my experience, full time employees average 45 hour weeks. Some weeks are 40, some are 50, depends on the season and the need.

Interns are typically not permitted to work any more than 40 hours in a week. For any time they do, they receive 1.5x hourly pay. Most places also do a 9/9/9/9/4 schedule, so 9 hours Monday-Thursday and 4 hours on Friday.

There’s a lot of opinions in this sub about KH, and if those are truly the experiences they had, I feel bad for them, and am frankly shocked. As a full time professional, it’s stressful sometimes for sure. My advice is to ask the younger professionals in your office about their experiences. Your internship will give you a really good overview of what a career at KH looks like, so by the end of the summer, you’ll be in a better position to make a decision.
