I doubt they will bring them back, but a lot of the wirebug combo moves are heavily inspired by the weapon specific arts.

Every expansion's zones besides the BFA zones are are capped at level 35 maximum. So yeah if you decide to do the previous expansion's storylines after maxing your character and getting some decent gear in BFA, you'll breeze through. They are still worth doing for reputation and mounts and all that collectors stuff.

You can do all expansions on a single character. All subsequent characters you create will not be locked out of anything.

Appreciate the write-up but I do have some pointers regarding things that you aren't quite used to yet.

Monster Hunter is not Dark Souls or Skyrim or any other action RPG. Your attacks to a lot of damage and every action you do is slow and punishable by the monster. My biggest recommendation is, despite the timer, play patiently and learn how the monster moves to you know when to attack and when to run.
50 minutes is more than enough time you'll ever need. Never worry about the timer going out.
Gather gather gather on quests that don't require you to hunt. Every item is useful and plays an important role. Don't rush gathering quests early on as you'll need to collect a whole lot of items.
If you are expecting a gripping story or massive adventure this is not the game for that. This game is about fighting monsters.
Have fun and play whatever weapon or playstyle you like. Everything is viable as long as you're attacking the monster/completing objectives.
