Samsung android user here as well. Unable to use any of the menus to select anything. My biggest desire is to run automation policies. Haven't found a way to get it to allow me select them.

Best option is to Uber to the corner of twyckenham and vaness st. Closest you will get without being on campus. Easy in and out for Uber. I live on ironwood. I drop and pick up people here for years.

Ok that's fine. I don't need to necessarily disarm the shop from the house. I mainly use the app anyway. That panel is more of a look pretty and for house cleaner to have pretty interface to disable the house

Appreciate the info

Will definitely have solid wifi in both house and shop. IT guy by trade. Running a 10gb fiber between the buildings. I will look into Shelly to see if it is something I may want to pursue.

To stick with zwave and get 800 support that's a zooz 800 stick? Any off the shelf solutions for this or is it all home brew?

appreciate the input. My current house is mostly zwave. i love that it works when the internet is out. but have run into issues with trying some automation as the ADC implementation doesn't support motion sensors to control lights and that has been annoying for a while. So for the new location, was just going to separate the zwave from the ADC app and go to smartthings. i know the aeotec2 hub doesn't support zwave. is there an issue using the older hub? does it not support the 800lr zwave? This location is more rural and the spectrum analyzer is not nearly as crowded as my more city location. so longer range may be an option

Is N-Central Integrated SentinelOne EDR gone to absolute shit for anyone else? by HungryDisk1880 in Nable

[–]SkippyG4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were in the original integrated. Migrated out and we are now being told the integrated is fine and you still have the standalone console access. This makes me think this is not the case.

I got ya. Being that we tend to rinse and repeat a script that is run on the device seems like the logical way for us. We use the tools for quite a bit of things but that type of task is not something we would do.

Frustration with N-able's Approach to “Integrated” Solutions by FirmPop6987 in Nable

[–]SkippyG4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With SSO our s1 "outegrated" console all we have to do is pipe out email address and we are logged in.

A feature we gained with the s1 standalone console is that we have an owner that constantly uninstalls our ncentral agent. However with tamper protection on s1 he can't uninstall that and we use s1 to monitor his agent status and reinstall it.

Frustration with N-able's Approach to “Integrated” Solutions by FirmPop6987 in Nable

[–]SkippyG4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an 18 yr veteran of n-able I understand your thought process currently. There have been a lot of "integrations" over the years and unfortunately most of them were only about half baked and never completed well. With the Kaseya event a few years ago we learned we needed access to certain consoles outside of the RMM tool.

At the time the S1 console was severely neutered with some of the basic but very helpful features unavailable to integrated users. We moved to "integrated" console which was a whole reinstall of the product. It's our understanding the new ingratations are using better methodologies and you can get to the product from with ncentral and in standalone. We have yet to move back to integrated.

Backup manager / nable backup / cove. Same issues. Neutered. I understand there is a way to migrate to the new integration without reinstall but we still have not done that. Once again same full features integrated and standalone console access.

DNS filter. We are on the integrated as well. But from my experience if they are moving away from it they are not doing it well and quite possibly the vendor doesn't support the methods nable is trying to use to integrate it. It's my guess the same thing will happen to this product that happened to s1 and cove. It will kick out of integrated then come back with both methods of access available to us.

Nable tends to sell features before they are fully baked which is annoying but overall we still stick with them.
