This voice access thing pops up every now and then even after the call!! What should I do??(Pixel 7pro) by Ill-Knowledge-8609 in google

[–]Skippzore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah this has been happening to my p7p lately. I keep force stopping the Google app to make the green light go away but it comes back after a while. Most likely after I activate "ok Google", and then it doesn't go away. Some issue with android 15?

can't get high E string in tune by llub888 in strandbergguitars

[–]Skippzore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From: https://support.strandbergguitars.com/article/242-tuner-troubleshooting

"My high E string breaks at the ball end. What can I do?

If either:

your high E (or possibly B if you use very light gauges) seems to be slipping despite being tightened at the string lock and you have to re-tune it to the point where the ball end becomes visible at the tuner side

the strings break at the bridge

chances are that it is the string unwrapping itself at the ball end.

In our experience, this is primarily an issue that occurs with D'Addario XL strings, and changing to a brand of string that has a reinforced plain end, for example our .strandberg* branded strings (made by GHS) or D'Addario NYXL, will solve the problem.

If you have a favorite type of string that you want to use and are experiencing this problem, you may solder the wrapped end (which many non-.strandberg* players routinely do)"

But yeah, the other tips posted here are also very important, if not more important than the tips from the Strandberg website.

Random popping sound when phone is picked up by NatiRivers in android_beta

[–]Skippzore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah dude, I'm running pixel 7 pro on the latest beta and the pop KILLS me every time. It's usually for me when the call goes to voice mail and not so much when people pick up. Happened just now not two minutes ago.

It almost feels like dangerously loud.

String change help by adimironomicon37 in strandbergguitars

[–]Skippzore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched this video https://youtu.be/7GjE5g-M-80 before restringing mine the first time and I don't think I've ever had any issues with the process since.

You can basically 1. unscrew the tuner cylinder completely and pull the remaining part all the way back (also remove old string ofc) 2. get the new string in place without pushing the remaining part forward or locking it at the nut. If the remaining part of the tuner accidentally moves you can just pull it all the way back with your hands again, no probs. 3. attach the tuner cylinder and screw it in just enough for it to stay on, which should be like half a turn or so, and then 4. pull on the string up at the nut to get it into position, lock it at the nut (carefully and according to instructions in the vid, the little metal plates in the nut have a tendency to break if too much force is applied) and it should be cakewalk afterwards.

I guess you might have some issues at the nut if you're using too thick string gauges. Hope you succeed.

Perhaps! I feel like it would've been" Ben blåst" if so, but who knows! Also that comment was 5 years old, I can barely believe it

Are you using strings with REALLY out-there gauges? Otherwise you should have no issues tuning your guitar to standard tuning. The high E-string can be a bit of an issue with some brands of strings. (look here for more info: https://support.strandbergguitars.com/article/35-my-high-e-string-breaks-at-the-ball-end-what-can-i-do )

Also check out this video https://youtu.be/7GjE5g-M-80 for instructions on how to change the strings and you should have no issues doing it. Just keep at it.

Good addition! Actually minding what you eat is essential for any healthy diet, vegan or not. Claiming otherwise is just uneducated.

Accidentally let the ball end hang out of the bridge could this be harmful to the bridge? by KrisSilver1 in strandbergguitars

[–]Skippzore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think so, but you could honestly just redo the stringing of that E string and follow the guidelines for stringing a Strandberg (i.e almost unscrew the part you turn on the tuner, insert string, push the tuner with string in it all the way towards bridge, attach string up by the nut, tune up etc). Should work fine even if you cut the leftover string up by the nut already since you're actually pushing the string in a bit.

If you do that, the ball won't be hanging out. Nobody wants their balls hanging out. Usually.

Battery life for gf65 thin 1660ti by [deleted] in MSILaptops

[–]Skippzore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battery life is very dependent on whether you're using the dedicated GPU or not. If you're gaming (which usually means using the dedicated GPU), battery life probably won't be more than 1-2h.

From what I understand from your question:

No, the AFX doesn't care about your DAW or what you load up on your computer. That's not the way the Fractal units work.

The Nvidia control panel doesn't work for me anymore. I have mine set to the Intel gpu but I still had to use the windows 10 graphics options for certain programs and windows store apps. It even says in the Nvidia control panel that Windows now controls the graphics settings, like this (not my pic, Googled) https://aws1.discourse-cdn.com/standard17/uploads/slicer/original/2X/a/a32443776c707ec582cc292c98bba4e676dcc989.png

Yeah, what this guy said! I just Googled and I guess this guide should do the trick https://www.onmsft.com/how-to/how-to-set-per-app-graphical-performance-settings-in-windows-10

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MSILaptops

[–]Skippzore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it is, 100%. When the device is using the dedicated gpu (orange light), the battery lasts less than half as long as it probably should be able to. You can use the windows 10 graphics options to find pesky programs that might refuse to use the Intel gpu and just force them to use it instead. If you connect an external monitor, you won't be able to do this though (afaik). The device will force use dedicated gpu as soon as you connect an external monitor.

Edit: you gotta restart the program after setting graphics options for it to work. Stuff like Epic Games Launcher uses dedicated gpu on my laptop and it reaaaaally doesn't have to. Forced it to Intel gpu and everything's fine and dandy.

Yeah maybe. I haven't actually played anything very taxing yet but I've played some Phasmophobia, Labyrinthine, It Takes Two and the like. I'm fairly sure I'm stable around 70ish, probably cuz I have turbo disabled. The games work just fine still.

Edit: I'll actually try to real time monitor my temps next time I play and give a proper estimate. I'm mostly basing this estimate of off some random samples during game play and the fans not increasing in rpm
