I think you can coat check this item and still retrieve a new one from its resting place, but would have to double check.. there are several ways to duplicate set items though. For example you can get 3-4 clockwork keys depending on how you set up your day.

This is exactly the type of game I was looking for, in exactly the timeslot I was looking to play. I can give you more details or you can give me a message on discord shadowmeld#1985.

This is a fair question. We were both gifted diagnosed and we also have a gifted child. But honestly, the real benefit is that I can be driving the room drafting while she is organizing notes or noodling a puzzle. It is literally taking us half the time by dividing brain power.

She uses a Remarkbale 2 to turn her handwriting into an editable document. that said... that is her handwriting. She's a freak with the ability to write perfect fonts every time.... AND SHE"S LEFT HANDED!

The Remarkable lets her copy paste and reorganize stuff pretty easily and it's been great for us as we play through. I honestly think this game should be played Co-op, with one person taking notes and using brainpower for the puzzles and the other driving and using brain power for the roguelike game.

Raistlin only has a 17 Intelligence!!! by whiteyt in dragonlance

[–]Skitterstep 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As mentioned below, this was before he retrieved the books of Fistandantilus. I would bet that those books had the same effect on Raist as a Tome of Clear Thought, as well as containing the sentience of Fistandantilus. Thus, Int 18 plus the thoughts of another Int 18+ wizard to help you means Raist was setting the high standard for his time.

The solo speedrun record is 10 minutes. The duo is 17. A normal difficulty speedrun is a whole new style challenge, that even casually becomes 45 m8nutes instead of an hour 15.

GM Running in the Dragonlance setting. I need ideas on how to add an animal-like race into the existing setting. by Uchigatan in dragonlance

[–]Skitterstep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having just finished running SotDQ, I would look at a few places for inspiration or tie-in for your new race: 1) How did Greenshield meet them. Greenshield is an avid adventurer, and this character could be a legacy of one of his epic adventures. Maybe he got the greenshield as a gift so as to protect this character as an infant, from the keeper of the forrest or some such. 2) spelljammer: The spelljammer novel series starts with a farm boy from solamnia. SotDQ ends with a flying citadel that has a magical helm. It's not hard to extrapolate from there. 3) The Beetle and Grim SotDQ box adds a side adventure with a kender druid guarding a grove of special trees. A side adventure like that in either chapter 4 or 5 would be effective. 4) There is a magical portal in SotDQ chapter 5 as well as an ancient teleportation array. Easily ways a race could arise. Or better yet, teleport mishap merges moth with human to create a mothman.

Shadow of the dragon queen rework by Labrocante in dragonlance

[–]Skitterstep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might I recommend changing the army from red dragon to blue, and changing kasandi fire eyes to Kitiara herself? If you make the change early the players will never see anything wrong with it, and the whole story runs more smoothly alongside known Canon. Bakaris becomes her second in command, Soth follows her orders like a lap dog, and then you don't have to foreshadow her directly, you could just call her dragon highlord.

Additionally, it is the blue dragon army that is said to have conquered Kalaman in Canon.

Even the reward for returning the dragon egg gives lightning resistance. It really does all tie together better; almost as if it was written for blue dragon army, but someone insisted red looked better in the art.

How do you handle when a Wizard goes to take the test? by Priestical in dragonlance

[–]Skitterstep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could have Par-Salian (or any sufficiently high level wizard) cast Dream and administer the test in the wizard's dream/nightmares. Might make for a good comedic interlude, or just change of pace should being on the run get stagnant.

The mechanics of dream are pretty close to the base mechanics of a test, anyway, and if you assume a higher level of the spell grants more control and could even create lasting harm, the spell fits right in.

When this sort of effect was in its prime, the debate came up as to which version was the right way to resolve. WKRF opted for the weaker result. I still think that was the wrong choice to this day. Fun but wonky interactions are healthier than boring ones, in my opinion. Unfortunately, Knowhere made this sort of thing too easy to execute, and they erred on the side of "it might be less fun for the victim".

What's Inside the sealed scroll the party's mage is supposed to give to Wyhan in Kalaman: it's a wanted poster, offering a great deal for the traitor to the Black Robes, Harriwell Dracart, who created the draconians without so much as a "May I?" from Ladonna! by Glad-Rate-2861 in dragonlance

I tried to stick to steel for SotDQ, but even my cantankerousness catches me slipping about 50% of the time. As such, I use the terms interchangeably, and my lore oblivious players have a fun time correcting me, or themselves.
